Got my order in too anyone any thoughts on the finish of the metal kit being shiny and new was the screen used hilt like that or did it have a brushed more matte finish
Somewhere in between. Bryan has been working through his sample to create the same state of the prop. I assume maybe he is going to do a write up?

Pretty simple actually.
Take the high finish surface and buff with a scotchbrite (not steel wool) ...and then use a good matte clear. With handling (or with further surface burnishing) it should resemble the original prop as the matte clear is weathered away and the matte remains in the inset corners.

I know everything's done (my order's in), but I think I missed the pictures with the reveal PCBs. Can someone point me to those?
We don't have photos of the reveal PCBs only the purple prototypes which we modified based on how they turned out. We should be getting them in this week and will get photos.
We do have photos of the helper boards tho.

I'm just trying to picture how it's all going to come together. Is that piece going to be DIY or mostly assembled?
The helper board will be fully assembled since it is a functional setup and is sensitive to placement and surface soldering of small components. So it is PCB assembled using pick and place. This is a costly exercise tho so we only did that for the helper board since it is functional.
The reveal board only has 3 components all of which are faux. So it will be the board and the pieces. Just solder them on to assemble. The IC chip which you can just solder like 4 legs of. One tantalum capacitor and one ceramic box capacitor. Those will come loose in a bag with the bare reveal board. So that requires customers to solder. We did this because it is not functionally sensitive and it saves a LOT of cost to avoid PCB component assembly on a non functional component.
