Limited Run Bowcaster Parts Run (Front Sight, Barrel Mount, Barrel Support/Hinge, Trigger Cover, Scope Mount, and More)

I should have enough of everything but the barrel mounts for anyone on waitlists. I do plan to get more material to make them after I finish the current list parts.

I will keep everyone on the waitlists updated for when parts are available for them.
:)

Me too and me neither.
Hi, I am part of this run, and I decided to do the trigger assembly myself to finish my Bowcaster prop project. I made two, one for my Bowcaster and another one for another friend of mine. I used a real Horton Trigger assembly to make mine, here are some pictures where you can see the original Horton Trigger assembly and the aluminum one I made. I am also making the rear clips which are made of stainless steel. Please private message me if you guys are interested on both the trigger and clip.

Here are the stainless steel real stock clips I had to make. I didn't want to make that many, but the set up time was too expensive at my local sheet metal shop to just make 2 or 3 clips. I'm offering each clip for $30.00, two machine screws will be included. The holws will fit 6-32 screws, or 6 sheet metal or wood screws. These will fit any frame. I think now we all be able to finish our Bowcasters' prop projects soon.

I am the person who collected the following photos and asked Portumac to make me a part to attach the rear sling to my ANH bowcaster. Any perceived inaccuracies are on me. Some of the photos below that influenced my request in design were from what I understood to be the real prop photos and some are known photos from other builders. I was more concerned with function than precise accuracy. We used stainless steel to support the weight of the bowcaster. I do not claim to have an eye or the patience for the same level of accuracy as others here on RPF. It was never my original plan to be involved with the supply of parts for this run. I am more of a collector not a builder and I am receiving $0 for any of these parts Portumac is offering to the group. He and I are only doing so to offset the cost of having the part made for our own blasters. These parts have already been made so unfortunately adjustments cannot be made. We hope that others on this run appreciate having this part made available. If I made an error in design then I apologize to all of you but do not blame Portumac.

Thank you Andy, your help in this project have been of so valuable. This is definitely one of the most difficult SW props to complete, so many different parts and very little sources and information. Thank you to the people who made this possible.

Hi guys, I am planing to have my local machine shop to start the trigger assembly packs Monday March 22nd. This will give time to other people decide if they want the trigger assembly. I don't going to have the machine shop to make extras since these are not cheap to produce and they charge a set up fee. So far there are 8 people that signed up. I can't wait to finish the Bowcaster. Tim's parts are looking great.

Just wanted to update everyone on the scope mounts.:)

I have been working with the machining company these past few weeks and I'm excited to say that they are going to be made of folded steel sheet metal which is the original process these were made and will be as close to the originals as possible!

Thank you everyone for your support and I'll share some pics of the cad files soon!:)
