Looks great, Leigh. I note you haven't made a gasket line for the second half of the mould, will the slush resin be too thick to leak or do you plan to cut one in?
I was hoping to get the jacket made up first thing in the morning, that would give the rubber 12-14 hours of curing before making the jacket. Is that enough?? or should I leave the rubber to cure for longer before hitting it with polyester??
Are you talking about the little groove/channel that can be carved into the perimeter of the mold's edge?
Also is it really that helpful?
I only see it only some molds and not others? Is there a reason not to have that feature?
Also, can't that be just pressed into the clay before pouring the silicone too.
Thank you
So it should work thenThat's good news
Thanks :thumbsup
Polyester and silicone don't have a whole lot to say to each other, chemically speaking, AFAIK. Doubt there's any cause for concern. Mould looks good!!
