Black and White Nike Air Mag

I'm using a cheap masking tape, and it doesn't affect the white collar of the shoes ^^.

I have been using magix grison for the grey ones, but not for the ones I showed on the first post!
I'm using it now for the new try of them, so it should look a bit better

The blu-tac thought is just an idea I had when considering repainting a pair of white v1's...... I've yet to test it though. Might have to buy an 'experimental' pair or 2 to test on. Lol any excuse.

I kind of wish now I didn't cut them (the V1s) up because with a bit more care, they could have looked quite good.



Especially for just kicks.

I made the first coat on the new pair of MP shoes^^

There is masking tape, because I wanted to keep the white this time x)

the MP's, they look so comfy. Is the upper mostly a stretchy material, like the nike Huarache's? I used to have a pair of Nikes with an all-cloth upper and no leather 'structure'..... umm what were they again..... thankyou Google, Nike Presto.

Now if only they'd made a basketball version of this it could have been conceivably an 'evolution into' the Mags..... eventually..... you know how car and shoe models change slightly from year to year...... eventually becoming..... that would have been cool.

The MP are extremely comfy, they actually fit my feet perfectly xD!
So yeah, for me they are really good to walk with!

Yeah you should try MP version at least! I kinda like these shoes x)! Much more than the V1! I love the tongue too!

My first pair of MAGs were the MPs that cost me just over $200. They were good except two things - they only came in one size which was smaller that my foot and those annoying lace stitch holes.

I am happy to mod V1s at what they cost. If my option was to pay $150+ for MPs or a bit more for the V2s, I'd just cough up the extra 100 and get the V2s and be done with it.

well, on ebay the MPs are 150 now from Mark himself and since I have a bunch of V1s and 2 sets of V2s...... they're feeling very tempting

Karin Chen wants $80/pair for V1s which she says has free shipping to Oz. I think the shoes are $60 and shes added $20 to cover postage. When I am ready to get my 2nd pair of V2s, I am going to hit her up for a discount on these as I think she has done the same on the V2s ($230 + $20) and I should not have to pay twice for shipping if I get both pairs. I am also seeing if I can a few extra people local to me in for bit a GB as 5 pairs gives 5% off the order. Not that much, but better then a poke in the eye.

Yeah, it's going okay, I tried the black rit on the soles, but it didn't really work :x So I guess i'll use a polycarbonate black paint x)
I kinda wanted to keep the "translucid" idea, but oh well ^^!

I remember when you were trying to glue the soles back on you had a problem, when I was replacing the rubber on my old V1's I found if you put safety pins through the rubber, into the foam, it holds the rubber down tightly while the glue dries. Since they don't have an air pocket to burst, it's safe for the shoe as well. I wouldn't be game to try it with a 'nike air' though in case it went 'fssssssssssssss' - just something that might help.

There should have been more MAGs in the film, so maybe not Marty's pair, but as a colourway of other pairs for sure.

You need to reverse your straps BTW. The tab goes on the inside of the shoe.

Are they the original straps and heel cup that come with the Mark Poons? They look better than the V1s.
And cavx is right, more colours of Mags should exist in the future.
Have you ever tried looking for Air Max 90s? Koo777.com has 14 pages of colour variations of that one model!
