Bionic Commando "Rad" Spencer Build and Bionic Arm!

I assembled one of the boots over the weekend. They are still missing the final paint, detail and weathering but aside from a pair of suspenders. I think I got the whole getup covered now. All I'm missing is just ahm...let's see...oh yeah - a bionic arm!

Thanks wako. One thing you guys will notice once I put this on is that the boots are huge! You can't really tell with the mannequin because it is SO much taller than me.

hello!
I follow with great interest your post,
i cant wait to see the final product
there are news?

gj!!!

Thank you. Nothing would make me happier than an update but It's all on Msleeper's hands right now. So waiting on her to do the next update...hopefully soon.

Looking good. Ironically i was replaying Rearmed and started Rearmed 2 last night. Hopefully Capcom doesn't abandon this franchise like so many others and makes another game. I have the .pdo of the arm from the post earlier but am too chicken to try to unfold it lol

I know it's been a while with no updates here and that is due to this project hitting a wall with msleeper. Unfortunately she is no longer working on this project with me. She says she may attempt it on her own, in the future. I wish her the best of luck.

as for me. I did not let that stop me and the project is still full steam ahead with a totally different approach now. Meaning I am no longer interested in getting this 3D printed and in molds. I will be the proud owner of a very unique, one-of-a-kind, more authentic piece.

Ladies and gents. ***** just got real:

More to come soon ;)

wow that looks amazing what is it made from? and why did she abandon it?

Its made of real life steel :)

Why did she abandon the project? I wish I knew...it was never really clear for me but I felt like she lost interest and also had some time management issues. It was just best to cut ties because I actually want to see this completed in the near future. She was treating this project more as an open ended "might or might not happen"-type of thing and that wasn't working for me.

Had some time to work on the arm yesterday. Here are some pics :)

I think this is the first time I've ever had to add rust protection to a costume piece/prop. I gotta say that's kinda cool.

Then I airbrushed a metallic finish on the whole thing

Then started to bring in some color

Did a couple of different layering effects:

Still have some more detail to add with brush/acrylics and all the hoses, LEDs and miscellaneous accent details but we're getting there!
