This post is to say a big thank you to the RPF forum and particularly STEALTH for getting me started on an obsessive journey making Iron Man suits. I now have three in progress - the steam punk/ancient armour one is here:

The one below is "battle damaged" mainly because it was the first thing I ever attempted and my foam skills weren't great. It's been a learning experience throughout. Thanks again for the inspiration.
From poor gluing and craftmanship:
Just looks dirty:
The discovery of Rub n Buff, the best substance in the world for covering poor craftsmanship.
Much happier:
As a first project I cannot recommend enough the advice given by the RPF forum - do not start with the helmet or this is how you'll end up:
