Batman zero year costume

Hi I am new to the site and new to building and cosplaying all together but I thought I would sign up and post in hope to get some tips. I am interested in making a Zero year Batman costume and any links or ideas are helpful. I have a cowl already so I am good in that department.

Above are some reference pictures I found, the third being my favorite. In most pictures he doesnt have a cape but I think I would like a tattered cape like the one pictured if possible. So maybe recomendations on a good material to use and a pattern to follow. As far as the costume itself I was thinking a grey lycra body suit with maybe a muscle suit underneath to bring out the abs. I would like to have the bat symbol on the chest, maybe screen printing or using a thin piece of foam and adhering it for more depth. I think the backpack would be hard to find but hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction.

I love your idea of a tattered cape I'd imagine it would be difficult to achieve that look with a leather or rubber cape. I'd suggest a heavy duty cotton type material.

I remember in the issue that this suit debuted (I think it was in the Zero Year story arc where Batman finally confronts the Riddler), Batman actually spray-painted the bat symbol onto the bodysuit. Maybe you could try something like that - or screen print it with a spray paint effect on it?

Thank you for the ideas I will keep that all in mind . I have never had a lycra suit before so the only problem I am worried about is if the suit too stretched or not stretched enough when I spray paint the symbol, then it might end up looking off when I am wearing it. I will look further in to it and maybe try and find a mannequin to mount the suit on for the spray painting.

For the mask Tigerstonefx 52 cowl without neck would be perfect

For the Base either a compression top and hand drawn details or you could just contact someone who has a 52 dye sub file and have them remove the sleeves for you
