Bandai release schedule

The only reason I haven't picked any up is because it is enamels. I know they are supposed to better than acrylics, but I am used to acrylics and I don't have to worry about harsh solvents on Bandai kits. Maybe if I was painting Studio Scale models it would be worth it, but not for small Bandai stuff

Now if they had an acrylic line...I'd be a bit more tempted

£150/€170 for a full Millennium Falcon paint set... not gonna happen.

And for the DeAgostini Falcon. You need 3 sets. Ouch!

Its like Campbells soup, concentrated very thick, you need to thin it down

A jar goes a long way,....I used 2.75 jars of Reefer White to paint the DeAgo Falcon,.....all the other shades that you would need you wouldn't even use half a jar,....leaving tonnes for a PG Falcon etc

Apparently he's working on it

Nothing so far. Bandai DID announce at least one kit in all three main lines during SWC: the figure kits, the scaled starships, and the Vehicle Model line.

The figure kit is all but confirmed to not be another droid (thank God), and there MIGHT be another Vehicle Model after the SSD. Based on the presentation they did we can expect either a release or an announcement for all three in Q4 2019, just in time for The Rise of Skywalker.

More profit taking non releases from Bandai:

These releases are probably using existing moulds. I guess they are keeping their moulding department busy releasing this stuff. Hopefully it doesn't affect the design department. If they want to squeeze out profit from older tiny moulds, they are welcome to do that. I just hope there is a lot more stuff in the works.

I will say this. Stick a couple LEDs inside that Death Star, give it a thick coat of paint and go at it with a pin and you'll have a nice lit DS display.

BINGO!!!! Given the nature of the original mold and the difficulty of even thinking of lighting it - a crystal clear mold does open up an opportunity to light it with a single LED and make as many pinprick holes to match the ILM model as one might want.

Dammit... I just got the Resistance vehicle set -- decoing the T-70s for two of my friends' Resistance personas, and evaluating the Falcon for upgrade bits off Shapeways... Now I gotta get this version. But I gotta ask: The original Vehicle Model was initially released as the 3-gear version, and then changed without fanfare to the 5-gear version -- same item code and box art. So will this be, too?

That reminds me. I just got the ESB-billed version of the 350 Falcon so I can make an upgrade with the side landing gear. Need to get that done...
