I really wish I could have got the underfloor corridor grates to be proper lightable holes. Just isn’t possible given 3D printing available today...

You could use some fluorescent paint in the holes and add a UV-LED to the lighting...

You could. But UV light always gives a really weird colour cast to whatever it illuminates...

or maybe mask a line of tape where the grate holes would be, top and bottom...paint top and bottom well, unmask and put an LED or two under it. it would illuminate the unpainted area enough for effect...i would think?
