And this is a template I made for the belt and cuffs. If anymore wants a scan of it I'd be happy to send it to them through email.

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

What is the red material everyone is using? Is it from a yoga mat? I'm making my own jacket but the red material and sleeves are killin me

They're kitchen mats you put in drawers or a pantry so things don't slide around. Look in the kitchen part of walmart.

TOTALLY, thank you! A couple of people even knew that it was from your tutorial.

Really!? People knew that you used my tutorial? That makes me feel really amazing. It's an awesome feeling that I can effect people across the country. And soon other countries as well because I'm shipping most of my jackets overseas.

Knowing something you made is a cherished part of someones collection is indeed a great feeling. :thumbsup

Yep. It was not only the RPF people that I ran into but at least one person that lurks here and is not a member that noticed that it was your tutorial. :thumbsup

Exactly 2 1/2 inches.

I actually have the exact back piece. Anyone want to mold it and make castings?...

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

Oh now that I've seen it up close, it looks like I have to modify my template a little. I made the ends of the raised edges completely round when they should have been more rectangular.

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

What about the thickness of the belt, the width of the gaps, and the width of the raised edges? Sorry if that's too much to ask.

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

The ribs taper from about 3/16" to 1/4 as they recess inward. The gaps do the same but go from 1/4" to 2/16".

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

Pitbull posted this on my thread and I thought it could help.

Someone could take mine and make several castings, then connected them, mold the one LONG piece then cast that one.

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

Looking at that pic, my piece looks to not round out as much as the original piece does.

That's not what I meant. I meant by if you took a ruler and measured the ribs horizontally. Same thing with the gaps.
