Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

Does anyone have an idea on better electronics? I only used $2 recordable sound chips.

Re: Back to the Future II 2015 Jacket Build

Once again guys, you don't need to go spending $20 on a chair to get this bellow material. You should be able to find one very cheap off craigslist or thrift stores. If I wasn't working so late now I would be going out to get a chair to look over the material and casting possibilities.
If I understood correctly the idea about splitting the bellow down the middle to make more, you then are only casting half the bellow and the jackets are using the whole bellow on them I think. The bellow around the base of the jacket could be two pieces joined together just once on the back of the jacket to reduce the size of a single mold for it. If I ever get around to it i want to contact one of these chair companies who seem to make their own bellow material and get a long enough piece all in one shot and just mold that and be done with it. Enough to make as many cuffs and jacket bases in every pull.

Thanks guys. It was a blast and I wore the MAG's for 5 hours with no issues! So fun!

Here is a comparison between someone wearing a $7000 Marty outfit and my $300 Marty outfit:

How did the Mags hold up? I wore mine at DisneyLand and they did just fine.

Just went back through the thread but can't find what I was looking for. I thought I read him saying he wore them for about 5 hours. I put mine on last night for a 2 hour movie in my cinema (I do from time to time) and had to take them off after an hour *shakes head*, so I can not ever see myself wearing them all day.

Yep, as Cavx stated, I wore then for 5 hours and had no problems other than having to replace the battery (which took about 2 minutes). The lights were fine and even though they are a little tight, they felt VERY comfortable.

When I went to Anime STL I wore my costume I also had a lot of people taking my picture. It's a great feeling that someone else likes your work. This is just a really popular costume. You can't go wrong with it. :)

What is the red material everyone is using? Is it from a yoga mat? I'm making my own jacket but the red material and sleeves are killin me
