Sorry for the necro-post... but don't dull the brooch.January 13, 2024
This Elven Cloak Brooch from The Lord of the Rings (2009-2003) was a Christmas gift from my sister, which was found on Amazon.

Loving the intricacy and quality of this pin, which is metal and enamel glaze. It was difficult to photograph in its vibrant color!

(I should probably dull it or weather it, but I prefer it shiny...maybe a Fuller's Earth bath?)
Beautiful props.November 12, 2024
I received these Paper Props, Gringotts Coins, and Keys from the Harry Potter franchise, purchased from a seller on Etsy:

Accuracy varies; we don't see the actual keys or the faces of the coins in the movies, so these are "maybe" prop replicas.
The Gringotts coins and keys are lightweight metal.

(Nothing too spectacular, but all intended to add some flair and color to the Harry Potter area of my collection!)
Beautiful simil.February 16, 2024
I received this Quill, Stand & Ink from the Harry Potter franchise, from a seller on eBay. The brand is Universal Studios parks.

I'm not sure how accurate it is to the movies, but it serves a greater purpose in adding "ambience" to my Harry Potter display.

I was worried for a minute because there is that guy on etsy that scanned my work on the Goblin letter, and after we published our replicas with my wife (wonderknight) and all the research associated with it, he also got to update his Ron and Harry letters that were really bad before that. The fun part is, those are very hard to get perfect, and it seems scanning those is even harder than actually making them yourself because he is selling them for more than my wife on her website, what a world!November 12, 2024

This is true and I love it when you call it out.If I end up with a scan or a recast, I try to make it right, so thank you for the scrutiny!
Fontmaster Astyanax, what font is this?November 20, 2024
To go with the USB Flash Drive (see above), I made this Key Card from The Substance (2024).

I simply purchased a few white credit card blanks from Amazon, and then cut the vinyl lettering on my Cricut. The art was cleaned up from a screen capture from the film.

No font, I manually cleaned up the screenshot in Photoshop!
The closest font is League Gothic, but it's not perfect. The film's font was designed by the production team and not released.
