AHHH! I wish!!! I live in San Diego though, so it's about 1.5 hours away. That wouldn't be a problem if I didn't work Friday at 9AM... What about you? Are you heading to El Cap?

Well now that the movie has come and still playing it is time for upgrades. Still looking for a black felt hat blank and will probably make a hat block for Angelica.

Still need to find a better trim!!! It is my new search journey!!!

wow, i ve been seeiing great costumes..I would like to start my one but i'm still looking for a good pattern for the Paisley vest, has anybody a good idea or tip, please ? thank you

I am using three different patterns to complete the look. A vest pattern for the front (found at a thrift store), an A line for the upper back (also an out of print pattern found at a thrift store) and Simplicity 2581 (Victorian coat) for the lower back. As all three patterns are A line - ) ( and based on the same design principle, it is just a matter of overlapping.

With the front panel as A line comes in two pieces, I stuck them to together to make one panel in the front. Another tip, use light interfacing instead of tracing paper.

The picture above is from Disneyland but it is a great example of the lower back which matches the Simplicity pattern.

I think those have pretty much sold out everywhere.
I have the ones by Disney Couture, the three rings on
the necklace and the cross....but I can't find them for sale
anywhere online right now. Found one cross available on
eBay UK and a couple of the three rings necklaces. Looks
like the bay is your best bet for them now.

The Swarovski cross necklace is still available looks like--a little pricey.

Sorry, Pizzyman, I didn't see this follow up question till just now......

I don't really know the answer. I guess she did wear the same rings as his when she was pretending to be him at the beginning of the movie, but not sure.

Did a little quick research, this poster shows Angelica wearing the stolen ring and then two others that I do not recognize, though one looks kinda like the button ring......if these have been for sale, I haven't seen them.........

Maybe someone more in the know about her costume will chime in......

Ok.

I AM DONE with the paisley.

It made me cry tonight because my Photoshop kept NOT saving all of the adjustments I did every time I closed it and reopened it and after redoing the same things a trillion times, I just can't handle looking at it anymore.

I hope it's okay for anyone who wants to use it and I apologize in advance for any minor errors that show up on the print. Hopefully they are too small for the human eye to notice.

THE FINAL image for repeat tiling on the print. And I MEAN IT this time! I already ordered mine ( expected April 27 ) so this is IT.

Sending the email out to everyone who requested the full scale image for printing in the next day or two when I've gathered up all the emails and my computer isn't being so glitchy.

I made a darker background-ed version with slight blue hue to it as well... I'll send both to everyone.

Thanks so much for all of your support and appreciation of this project. It's all worth it if even one or two of you can enjoy it in your costuming. =3

You can find mine and another users here, depending on which colourway you like best.

Mine is the brighter one. It prints quite bright on cotton. I find that sateen prints closer to what you see on screen. If you plan on distressing it, it might be a good idea to start brighter too ( I just left mine ).

Mine prints best at around 192 dpi for good sizing of the paisleys.

hey everyone, im new here but come across this thread several times in doing research for angelicas costume, i have to say i am having trouble finding patterns to adjust... does anyone have any sugesstions??? oh and any comments on the pictures in my albums would be amazing.
i am so in awe with all the costumes in this thread i just hope i can do the character as much justice as u lot ^_^

As for Angelica's hat:
I am a Sparrow, and my wife wanted a custom pirate costume to wear when I go out as Jack. In some respects, I loosely based her costume on Angelica (or that was the original intention, anyways) - but I loved the hat Angelica wore in pirates 4.
I looked around for months and found nothing I was happy with, so I contacted the folks at The Last Best West - The Best Cowboy Gear. and they totally nailed it. I looked back on their 'sassy ladies' page recently, and they now offer it as the "Angelica". Their photo doesn't really do it justice (they need to stand back farther), and you are on your own for the buckle and ribbon (what's on there is basically a placeholder), but the hat is awesome! The size and sweep of the brim is perfect.

Just thought I'd pass this along for those who might be interested.
