Fin came off as more intellectual Jar Jar comic relief character. His jokes were the modern version of 'Whatcha Talkin about Willis'. They fit in with today's culture but will be dated soon.
The Nostalgia Debate Around The Force AwakensWhen is cinematic recycling too much?

. No one did, it's just the matter of being negative and ranting and moaning. I'm not trying to **** anyone off I just wish people could use self control and take there negativity somewhere else.Who decided exactly what we can talk about!!???
If a movie was vey poorly executed should we not be able to say so mein Fuhrer?
Thanks for sharing this. This article is exactly the type of thoughtful/respectful debate that, for me, elevates the discussion. It also perfectly encompasses my conflicted feelings about TFA.
Seriously bro!!! You cry "use self control"?. No one did, it's just the matter of being negative and ranting and moaning. I just wish people could use self control and take there negativity somewhere else.
Yeah, Not gonna lie, I have no self control about jumping into this thread and commenting. It's like a Y wing doing it's bombing run...oh wait those were missing in the TFA
Seriously bro!!! You cry "use self control"?
And you wish people would take the negativity somewhere else... Like.... Let's say..... Oh, I don't know.... Maybe into a thread AWAY from the rest of the discussion?.... Away from the other thread.... And into one designated area? Like THIS ONE?
Hmmmm.... What a novel idea!
Now if people who don't want to read it or hear any negativity could use "self control" and not open this thread and just avoid it.
You are the one who keeps coming in here and complaining that you have to read these comments. Nobody is making you open it.
Got nothing better to do than complain, Thanks for proving my point…..Bro !!!!
I wish the JJ fan club would take their positivity someplace else. Always whining how someone's not liking a movie upsets them.
Two words: "Droid, please." It was funny, but I think that line will come back to haunt them simply because it's already dated and doesn't really fit in the Star Wars universe. George Lucas' dialogue may not have been Shakespearean prose, but he was careful about not including modern-day slang words and/or phrases that would soon fall out of common usage....Fin came off as more intellectual Jar Jar comic relief character. That, and subsequent scenes featuring the Falcon (crashing through trees, skipping off of snow-covered ground like a rock across the surface of a pond), bothered me. In the real world, regardless of how some fans might go on and on about fictional technology and materials, the Falcon would have been considerably more damaged than it was. And, even if it hadn't, the characters would have incurred some forms of injuries from all of that bouncing around....Funny moment. When Rey first got the Falcon airborne, she was bumping into everything. As a Falcon builder....I actually moaned aloud. The guy next to me looked at me like I just saw a puppy get kicked.
. unfortunately I get an email whenever you respond so I have to read your responses . I did not come here to argue " I'm not the droid your looking for so move along" LOL no hard feelings intended I'm done reading your responses, after all were two grown men( I think ) arguing on the Internet,Again no hard feelings Live Long And Prosper( oh wait wrong series)You came BACK into this thread again because of lack of self control... So THANK YOU for proving MY point...BRO!
Now move along.... Remember you don't want to read this negativity. Buh-bye!![]()

Also, in the dogfight sequence in which Poe Dameron is taking out TIE Fighters like they were static targets, his X-Wing didn't move like it would have if they had taken aerodynamics into consideration. Again, some fans might argue "technology" or some such, but it's movements were so unrealistic that I felt like I was watching someone play a video game.
