To that point, I will say that I have no problem with Heritage offering the piece. We see this in the art world, where a controversial painting comes to market, and a group of experts, or panel, have deemed it by the artist, while another group says it can only be attributed to or is only by 'the studio of', meaning a student.
I think the rub here, is rather than be an impartial referee, HA has made definitive statements and conclusions about origin and use that they have not corroborated. In the painting world, the experts reports are provided and signed. There is no doubt what the differences are and what reasoning is behind each claim. To them, each bidder can study and decide for themselves what, or if, the case, one way or another, was made. Here we lack that totally. They have, in a world where we are all color blind, told us the prop is 'blue' - when no one can see it.
