Now up on Heritage's site is a ST:TOS Mid-Grade Type-1 Phaser from the collection of Greg Jein...
Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969), Mid-Grade Type-1 Phaser. Vintage original iconic prop measuring 3.75" x 1.75" x 1". Constructed of hollow fiberglass, painted dark gray with silver stripe on both sides, with wooden emitter tip, acrylic gauge, aluminum power dial and diamond patterned decal. This very rare prop was used by the production for closer shots. Exhibiting scuffing and some paint retouching as well as adhesive remnants on the underside. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.
Any thoughts / views on this prop?

(The auction has a number of replica phasers and tricorders beginning here.)

That has all the signs of being an original…correct overall body shape, right color, right extra crispy, correct shape of the front plate, correct wooden emitter post; very close to the “City in the Edge of ForeverHobo Phaser One (with the corners of the extra crispy having bee rounded, post Season One and the body halves of the casting sanded slightly thinner than the Hobo).

It also has the correct smaller emitter “bump” on the bottom (indicative of midgrade P1s) though the Velcro may be gone, altogether.

Love it!
