I was not aware that Jein owned a midgrade or that James Cawley bought it. If it was through an auction house then the data would be available on the price but not who the buyer was. I have seen in pictures that James has a midgrade on display but I thought it was a JPL model.

It was a bit of a joke as he has a midgrade replica that he bought from or was given to his "Star Trek Set Tours" by JPL

He calls it the "Jein Midgrade" when he shows it off to people who visit his sets.......

I searched for Phaser on the set tour facebook page, as you would think it's the sort of thing deserving an announcement, but I didn't find anything.

It's a JPL... I've heard he bought it from JPL an I've also heard JPL gave it as a gift....

Now this on the other hand isn't screen used built by another builder that's on par with JPL yet the weathering is more in line with what we should expect to see...

I don't know about the phaser but I DO know about those cool, impossible to find double rocker switches (which James bought from me, lol).

That is a mid-grade, the two phasers at the GJ auction were a hero and crapazoid; no midgrades were auctioned this time around but I did hear that there is going to be a big sci-fi auction in March and they will have about a dozen Nichelle Nichols midgrades that were recently found when they were going through her estate.
