Aliens M314 Motion Tracker - Yes, another one or two with CAD and 3d printing

It's largely done, but like a lot of other designers, I got prop burnout on this one and lost direction, buying the wrong parts didnt help either, so had to step away for a bit. Also I have a habit of getting distracted by other projects... like nice shiny, shiny pulse rifle type projects.....The m314 will be back on my bench once I've knocked off the F44. (Which is close)

Definitely interested in the files for the Hama shutter release if you decide to release them. That part might as well be a unicorn statue forged out of unobtainium in the fires of Mordor.

Big push to get this across the line:
I modelled the trigger assembly as per the original, but made allowance to include a microswitch. This way it can be used in an original build if your og trigger is fried.

Housing in PETG

I had a go at doing some water slide decals for the vivtar flash parts that fit on the Hama:

I think it came out pretty good, i just need to resize the blue and red lines a touch.
The ASA layer was printed in reverse and sits under the laser cut Lexan. The blue layer sits on the slide and the Blue and red lines sit on top.

I cut out the Hama to allow for electronics.
Drew up a LED holder and replicated the two switches.
You can also substitute the real vivitar parts

Final Assembly:
I reprinted the kango and Hamar in ABSGF with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.2 - still dialing in the 0.6mm nozzle.
The lower black pieces are PETG and the remainder is Resin PLA and TPU95A for the trigger boot.

Just missing a couple of screws which ill pick up this weekend.
No post processing on this except for the vivitar lens, I quite like the "Founds parts raw look"
