AAV Drop Ship

Just beautiful.

Thank you!

That piano wire seems to have worked out perfectly!

Thank you, I am so happy!

I’m constantly blown away by your work. The only thing this doesn’t have is a fuel tank. If it did, I believe it would fly.

Thanking you always, Thaddeus-san!

Fantastic work here my friend! Piano wire spring making technique is simple and effective. Great demo video.

Thanks for looking, Hagoth-san!

I've fitted the gears to the fuselage.
Oh, I'm so happy with these pictures.
It is standing very stable.
I'm so happy that my idea worked.
That was really tough work but these pics reward me.

The vehicle really got rolling in beneath the ship smoothly.

The cover of the rotating mechanism slides onto the gap and fits the front fairing.

I will dress up this vehicle later. For now, it looks like a delivery van, though.

Wow, I can go ahead making the cockpit!

Thanks for looking and thank you for your usual heartfelt support!

Not that you need any incentive to dress it up but if it stays looking like a delivery van you have one option for a color scheme. Brown with gold letters that spell out S.N.A.R.T! :p Rapid deployment is our game!

The drop ship standing on it's gear on its own looks really cool. Reminds me a little of a Sikorsky ch-54 Tarhe (S-64 Skycrane).

It is always nice when things work out

The landing gear look great. It almost has an insect like feel. Similar to how Helicopters were inspired by Dragonflies

Very cool!

Brown with gold letters? UPS Worldwide Service! Right on!
Skycrane is one of the remarkable aircraft I was inspired by at this time.
Thank you, Hagoth-san!

Thank you, Analyzer-san, that's the pleasant expression!

Great landing gears now that it's springy (y) and yes, there's clearance between them and the drop ship! I think you should keep the same type of paneling and details on the truck part to keep the same look that you have on the drop ship...:notworthy::notworthy:

The structure of the nose section has been done. Before I go on to build the outside skin, I made a few armaments for refreshing myself.

Now, guess what.

It's the latest model of AIM-9 Sidewinder AAM!

There were very few references for this deadly weapon, I got to figure out each size from this pic to scale down exact 1/20th.
A span of tail fin: 9mm x 8.15 x square root divide20... some like that.o_O

I hope you like them and that was a fun moment.
I believe those finest weapons will be used until the end of this century.

Thanks for looking!

Loving it! Hydra rocket launchers and Sidewinders! Those look great!

Thank you!

We could pack a little rocket propellant in the back of those Sidewinders and see if they really fly?

You make it look easy Katsu, the mark of a master!

It's bad mischief when I was a kid. I packed a piece of celluloid in a metal cap of a pencil and lit it to fly. It hit the window of our next house and I ran away immediately. I'm sorry for the neighbor.
I was a naughty master.
Thank you, Ken-san!

Clear seekers on the missile noses! Fantastic!

Thank you, Tom-san!

Amazing work on the armaments. They look perfect!

Was that a pencil sharpener?

Hahaha! Yes, it is. It's good to make a nose cone. Panasonic (Ex-National) is great.:p
Thank you!
Truly amazing, Katsu-San.
Thank you, sir!

A few progress.

Cut up a 0.3 mm sheet for the outer skin and scribe some panel lines and rivets.

3MREp27.jpg

Scribing and riveting on the thin sheet would make unevenness on the surface.
So, I always hammering the surface from the backside like this. This work will flatten the surface and make those rivets look like a flat top rivet.

Ok.
If the measurement was accurate, the rest is easy.
I used a piece of paper for the pattern for actual measurement
