Its in your best interest to pay ahead of time.You should understand that prepaying helps gauge how much room, tables , chairs, food and refreshments are needed to hopefully accommodate everyone...which by this time food has already been reordered. People showing up at the door although I feel you wouldn't be turned away your taking your chances there's anything to eat and also prepaid people get first dibs. We also encourage others to bring extra food or snacks...its better to have too much rather than too little.

I would be curious to see how many people would come to a free event, but are not coming to this one because it's 20 bucks. It'd be a shame to learn that like a HUGE TON of people aren't coming because they don't want to pay 20 bucks for some table space and a slice of a subway sandwich.

Don't get me wrong, I understand renting the space costs money. I'm not saying do it for free.

If we had a space that was free, it would still cost money for the food/drinks which would still be about $10 per person. If we had to rent tables that would still put us back up at $20 each.


If people want to chime in with free spaces that have tables and enough space for us, then I am ALL for that.
There really is NO way around the fee unless we have someone that can get us tables and space for free and then wants to cater it for free also.

ANYONE?...anyone?....yeah I didn't think so....:$

Including myself, the member count now stands at about 47 including guests.

That is a very good number considering most are local or from Southern California anyway. I've been to other forum meets for Paintball or Car Club events and the attendance level here seems to be a very strong turnout from my experience. Trust me, I know. Unless distant members are willing to travel from out of state to attend, we are doing great.

There's still plenty of time before the 25th, so sign up people!

$20 is more than reasonable for food and a large space. Also, many of you have generoulsy donated to the raffle which makes it well worth the cost of admission.

Anyways, I'm in it for the cupcakes!

hey everyone,
i'd like to go, but a slight problem has befallen me with my automotive transport, in otherwords my car situation has been rather borked, so i have no way of getting to or from the party.

i JUST moved to LA, i'm living near east culver city i believe? its close to the 110 freeway.
would anyone be happening to be heading past that area and be willing to give a fellow RPFer (and perhaps a guest, although that is tentative) a ride? i'd be more than happy to chip in for gas as per normal carpool tradition

Pardon me, but HOLY CRAP that is awesome! Nate, I am desperate to see that A-Team van! Man oh man, this is gonna be great.

Also very comforting to know that you guys won't get dinged with a big fee for valet parking this time around. I suppose the trade off is that you won't have as many muggles stopping by to check out the cars, but WHO CARES!

Man, it's gonna be a strong showing for star car central at that party! can't wait!
