Heya Gary, good eye! Good old Wave Option Parts lenses over top of styrene I cut with an X-Acto and Waldron Punch/Die set. The lettering is Archer dry transfers. Lenses are held in place with future, which apparently sticks well enough to an lcd screen, LOL!
On the winglets, I buried leds into the resin with Apoxie Sculpt and sanded them flush. Painted over everything, and just nicked the surface to re-expose the light. I have clear model kit parts from a 1/700 Pit-Road Naval accessory set to glue over top after I paint! Clear naval life boats look like cool lenses, since they have ribbing on the inside of the part.

I'm glad the after-burners worked out.
Seeing your cool results.... I think I'm going to try mine with warm LEDs on the outer diameter and a cool LED in the middle.
I especially like the work you did on the Pilot!
This bird is going to be beautiful when you work your magic with the airbrush. :cool

Cockpit is near-finalized. Three bulkheads will be fitted over the holes (which will allow the fiber optics to pass through):
