Disney bought Lucas ... and rumor to buy HASBRO too!

Well it makes sense. Disney could use Hasbro for all of their product lines.

Wouldn't be too hard for Disney to cripple Hasbro's value by pulling their licenses before the negotiations. Also, if Disney owned Hasbro, they would have a higher profit margin because they wouldn't have to pay license fees.

That's not really how corporate works. On a common sense level it should work that way. But in reality different divisions still compete for numbers in columns to justify bonuses, budgets, etc..

In reality "money" changes hands but in reality it's like you taking money out of your left pocket and putting it into your right.

someone say Monopoly?

In order for it to be a monopoly they would have to own several major toy companies. Just because they own LFL doesn't mean its a monopoly if they end up buying Hasbro.

Hasbro said they've heard nothing about this. If this happens Hasbro'd lose cash instantly as it would have to break contracts with Disney's competitors and even wallstreet says it wouldn't make sense. If it does happen the figure customizers can kiss their hobby goodbye if they sell custom figures cause Disney'll be more unforgiving than Hasbro.

Everybody always says that - and I have no idea why.
Disney isn't the big bad - the 501st isn't going away, armor makers are not getting C&Ds, and they wouldn't crack down on custom figures same as they don't crack down on stuff sold on eBay.

It's not economical for them - especially if the operation is small scale. Everyone gets their panties in a wad about Disney......

What was that in-depth book about Hasbro a few years ago, wasn't it "Toy Wars?" Covered I think 5 years of Hasbro in-depth, but maddeningly stopped just short of Hasbro's Star Wars initial surge with the Power of the Force toys.

What he said, I am also a member on the Transformes TFW2005.com and they also got a statement of HASBRO, that they know nothing about this. Thank God!
