Guys, As the new kid on the block I can only give my point of view, and I am trying to understand everyone else's.
As I started posting, one of the first things I stated was that I had very little to offer at this time. I did offer what I had and many took me up on it and all got what I said they would quick and easy.
Problem is that's all I got! If I had more I would offer it up. That's it.
What I don't understand are the money statements being made. I know that you guys have spent the money! Read my first posts. I respect that very much. But like so many things in life, not everyone can do it. Not everyone who could would. I just don't understand. It seems that not telling anyone anything makes it seem like I still have my money??? Or it was a better investment because there will surely be less Ys built?? I just don't understand what this forum is for then.
The only things that can be posted would sound like this..
" How's your Y coming?"
" Good, and yours?"
" Great"
" That's good."
" Well, keep up the good work."
" You too!"
Or is this just a place to post final pictures once the deal is done?
I'm not trying to cause waves and this will likely be my last post here, but to a new comer this place looks totally different than how it is once you start trying to get into things. Maybe not to folks who have been here for years, but to new ones it is. So does it grow or die?
Doesn't anyone remember being a kid and seeing all your friends with Star Wars toys. We played and played. Are we not just bigger kids now? Why else would anyone spend 1,000s of dollars on kits looking for parts if they weren't.
We just want to play. Play and build Ys. Bad, good, better and best. It doesn't matter to me. As long as they are being built. The more the better too.
And do people really get kicked off here for discussing things? Forum?? I hope not.
So for the record, If those of us who have less to offer are deemed unworthy by those who have more to offer, and that's all it boils down to, then I suppose that's all that will be.
But, one thing just came to mind,
" The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few,
or the one."
It's just a better way of thinking to me.
Goodbye
