Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

What do you think of my homemade Wolverine costume? Ok ok...the cowl is from reevz and I had to use those plastic claws because of my low budget ^^. My brother (dressed as venom) ran a Marvel-themed costumeparty and I decided to cosplay Wolverine but all I found to buy was crap. So i had the idea to make one by myself. I wanted to create something that might work in real life but I have to admit that this was the first costume i have not fully bought in any store.
What do you say how it looks? (Beside my skinny shape ^^)

The suit doesn't look bad at all! - Like a mix between the practical/tactical version from the movies and the iconic comic look. I think the wings on the reevz cowl are too big, though! (not a knock on you, but I don't remember them being quite that big in the comics or cartoons.)

They actually were that big, he was going for a more oldschool look when sculpting it he told me. Check out the cartoon from the early 90s and his mask from the 80s.

Have you seen these claws before? Does anyone know who produced 'em?

Hinko1984, great suit man! I love seeing the yellow wolvie suit and that is a nice take on it. Well done!
sp1derman, Good luck on your suit; I'm sure it will look cool. I can't wait to see it, so please post it!
sanityattack, Those claws look great! Ultimate Wolverine is one of my favorite versions of the character. I hate that they killed him in that universe.
TheWolverine, I have no idea who made those claws, but it is so cool to see a real life version of the comic claws!
JLeezy23, I see what you mean about the symbol. It looks a little similar, probably just a coincidence.

It snowed again where I live and it will probably be last time for this year, so I took advantage of it and get a few shots in my Wolverine gear. To save forum space I put them in an album that can be viewed here wolfman10's Album: wolfman10 X-O jacket if anyone wants to check them out.

For those not following the Wolverine DOFP belt project I got running with Indy, he's just given us good news that prototype is being made.

I have been thinking of making some resin casts of claws like this. I just don't know how many people would be interested.

Honestly, I'd love you see you design your own claws, or maybe a hybrid of the Origins claws and The Wolverine claws, taking the best aspects of them both and making them one. Perhaps maybe the double sided blades of The Wolverine claws and the knuckle aspect of the Origins claws.

That is awesome about the DOFP belt, comonbub, I think I would rather get a Origins belt first when it becomes available. If and when they do the buckle on the 70's belt I might be interested, I understand waiting on that.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here and I apologize in advance if it has. On the Blu-Ray version of The Wolverine under the special features and "The Path of the Ronin" there is a feature entitled "Execution: A Killer Team" and they discuss the weapons in the film. Everything except the bone claws really. I highly recommend checking it out, if anybody hasn't already. Here are some screen shots from it.

I think "TheWolverine" posted a better picture of the prop claws earlier in the forum, but I though I would share these anyway. Darkside501st claws look right on the money, great job as always! I like the palm piece on the ones in the film, it looks comfortable.

Soo who has info on that carry case?? :lol haven't watched the special features in a while, gotta go back and check em out. Did I hear that they molded Hugh's hand so that the palm piece fits perfect?

I wished I had that case! haha I'm assuming they did that with the palm piece, but I have no idea. It would make perfect sense.
New photo of 70's Wolverine on Facebook.

I'm with Nick on Magneto using a gun, it is strange, considering his powers and how he makes fun of humans using guns in X-1 and X-3. There is some irony there...pun intended. haha It is also strange to see Hank human and Professor X walking in the promo pics. I also like how Peter Dinklage is playing Trask, when I'm assuming that Bill Duke's charater in X-3 was suppose to be Bolivar Trask. Trask also appears in the X-Men Origins- Wolverine game and he is African American. I wonder what happened to Trask in between the 70's and X-3. haha As I have bought up before I wonder why Wolverine isn't in Vietnam in 1973 that should be the year he meets Stryker. I am so excited about this movie! Here is a blown up cropped pic of 70's Logan

Humans are more scared of guns being held and pointed at them than hands being pointed at them....I would suspect it's that, rather than what he can actually do with it, that makes him do what he's doing in the shot.....Making someone scared, rather than thinking about shooting them...

Mind over matter...Or something like that.... ;)

Does anybody know if there are deleted scenes on The Wolverine bluray besides the alternate ending we've seen? I only have the digital version so I wouldn't know. I remember seeing a seen of Wolvie holding a sword into the sun in the previews but never saw that. Is it in the bluray?
This "sword in the sun shot" got me too, but I think that it actually the shot of Wolverine looking at the sun at the end of the movie. The "sword" might be the back of the plane.

The left is from the trailer and the right is from the movie. Wolverine is wearing the same hoodie and the sunlight is fake in the shot, according to the commentary, so that explains the difference in lighting.

Also, I found it interesting that they made actual props of the bone claws for The Wolverine considering how they only make 4 pretty brief appearances in the movie. I thought they were just CGI at the end, but the special features show otherwise.
