X-MEN Evolution Set!


We have something very special and rare here! These are the original first eight claws ever produced for X-MEN.


These claws were made in the first shots out of the mold used in X1 as Jimmy Claws tested the original X1 claw mold for the first time in May 1999 for Wolverine's Claws for X-MEN.


The same plastic and colour dye that was used to make all 700 claws for X-MEN is what these Evolution Claws are run from.


The reason the Evolution Claws range from short to long is because Jimmy starts testing with low injection pressure to be safe, and increases the pressure with each shot to fill the mold until it's completely filled and a new complete claw is finally made. Too much pressure and the part being made can flash (a thin skin around the perimeter of the claw) which creates manual cleanup. Getting the correct fill pressure, temperature, duration and speed of the mold being filled in properly can also become a problem. A swirly look and incomplete mixing of the color can also be another start up bug when making the first claw...


With any molded piece being made, a full, complete part can take another ten to twenty more parts made to get it perfect, and sometimes more.


These Evolution Claws are the first eight claws EVER MADE from the X1 Mold! Many more claws were made that were rejects throughout the first X1 JIMMY CLAWS run, mostly poor flatness...only JIMMY'S best CLAWS see THE camera.


These claws were manufactured in 1999, produced using Jimmy's exclusive mold. This is a piece of authentic X-MEN movie history made by JIMMY CLAWS. These are the only set of claws first molded as tested.

I got my new 2nd jacket from Wolverinejacket.com. IT IS AWESOME!!!! because I had my previous jacket to go off of, I got it to fit me like a glove!. I shortened the over all length also. I will have to post pic in it with my metal claws. Maybe tomorrow I can take some.

Good job comonbub! They are even claiming that Dan got his jacket from their site, which is ridiculous. Also, their "English" is really broken on their site.

He's also using multiple images from Ebay shops. Nothing on there is his product. wolf, the moderators of the forum. I couldn't even message this member and he up and deletes it as soon as he's called out...Anyways lets leave it at that, no more about him.

hi gus so i have a really cool comic book wolverine planned with muscle arms retractable claws clasic blue and yellow suit but i wanted to ask has anyone bought these 18618.jpg and if you have are the claws a solid plastic like the rubies movie version i looking for a more comic book style claws rather then the movie ones and these look spot on as i need them to be con safe?

Here's some more jacket porn. Not sure if you guys knew I had an OLF X2, but here it is. This is the only one of 2 made as Milos told me when I got it back in 2011. He also says he used the X2 to make the X3. Shame I'm getting rid of it but I only need one X2, excuse the gym shorts, I was lazy lol It's a little wrinkled because it's been in a box for over a year but the great thing about this leather vs Vanson leather is that the wrinkles come right out.

What's the fit like on this Common? I only ask because it looks like it fits good, but it looks odd, the way the shoulder seams are so low it makes it looks like the sleeves would be too long, but they look to be the perfect length.
 
Fit is great! the back comes right at the end of my belt line although you can't tell because I'm in gym shorts. Sleeves are perfect length, idk, I never noticced that about it, it comes maybe 1 cm over my shoulder but that's it, not much. It makes good room for a big hoodie underneath though.
 
Man comonbub, that is a great looking jacket!!! I like the X-2, it's nice to see another vendor's version of it. I have only seen Heron's and Vanson's version of it. I think the X-2 is the most overlooked of Wolverine's jackets.
