Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I'm willing to bed it's just a really long leather lace going through the 2 pieces very tightly. No glue./.................

I've not been a fan of this buckle or belt pattern. BUT I am super-curious about how they achieved the layered look of the belt. Looks like a two-ply leather method glued and stitched on with the X-pattern.
Do any of you agree or disagree with assumption of the way the belt is made?? I'd love some feedback, as I may try my hand at this this summer.

Oh...and I will be escorting my wife to the theater tonight to see this. Can't wait to see it in all it's glory...not to mention the end-credit scene!

I do believe it is laced, but the lace vs. leather ratio lends to disaster if you are correct. My correction to not break the lacing (in a snag or droop) would to keep the top layer glued, and maybe some hidden rivets along the way. As I see they created the belt in such a way to completely avoid any traditional stitching.

Hmm I wonder where the Wolverine sequel will take place? Will it be the old time line or new one? Or they can probly just remake Origins now :lol

Wolverine Dog Tag - Worn by Hugh Jackman in the filming of X-men

A total of three (3) dog tags were known to be made for the film. This particular dog tag was used and seen on camera during the fight sequence between the character’s Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Sabertooth (Tyler Dane) that took place on top of the Statue of Liberty. During the sequence, Sabertooth violently removes the Dog Tag from Wolverine’s neck. The chain holding this Dog Tag was purposefully cut prior to the filming by myself and then re-attached using soldering lead so that the chain would remain intact during the fight scene, but would be removed easily when tugged on by Sabertooth so as not to cause harm to Hugh Jackman’s neck.

There were no dog tags with Wolverine in DOFP.

Here's a mind**** and continuity hole I found: I watched it a second time and noticed that in Origins, he was held prisoner for a prolonged period of time with sabretooth before Stryker recruited him, that would have been the 60s because in Origins, he told Stryker in the hospital, 'six years I been here, nobody knew me and YOU show up..and the next thing she's dead..." so that means when he woke up in 70s NY, it fits just right because he was separated from sabretooth after he went AWOL on Stryker's team. But when you come into account that young Stryker didn't know him, it doesn't fit.........

@dstephenson3 Awesome suit, it looks professional! I love the chest armor and belt, great job!
@comonbub The Stryker recruitment scene could NOT have happened in the 60's, because Origins ends with the Three Mile Island accident which happened March 28, 1979 so we subtract 6 years (because of the gap between Logan leaving the team and starting a new life with Kayla) from that and get 1973 (that is when the Vietnam recruitment scene has to have happened). I don't see a continuity hole at all because the past of DOFP is set in 1973, so it could be that Logan was between tours in Vientiam and has not met Stryker yet (but would have been recruited later in 1973 like we saw in X-O).
Also, Logan and Saretooth were not held prisoner for a prolonged period of time because Styker says this "You were sentenced for decapitating a senior officer. The warden tells me that your sentence was carried out by a firing squad at 1000 hours. How'd that go?" indicating it happen fairly recently if not the same day. This really isn't a spoiler because the clip is out and was even shown at TASM2 showings, but we see that Stryker is gathering mutants in Vientiam before he recruits Wolverine (if you are following the X-O timeline), so all that fits pretty well surprisingly. lol Except that Stryker is a lot younger in DOFP then he was in X-O even though it is roughly the same time period.

Still doesn't fit because Stryker is about 65 in First Class, somehow goes back to his early 30s in DOFP, then straight to his late 40s in Origins....His character itself is a hole.

First, that was Stryker's dad in First Class. Second, I addressed the age thing in the post you quoted (check the last sentence). Yeah Stryker is old in the X-2 flash backs, slightly younger in Origins and a lot younger in DOFP. Mainly there is no plot hole with Wolverine's origins because he goes back before he ever meets Stryker that was my main point so there is no reason to say there is a plot hole there it works time wise for the events. The inconsistent age thing is annoying though.

Sadly...The only way you can beat that "inconsistent age" thing is 1) Film in reverse, so the actors age backwards in the films... Or 2) use special effects or 3) Hire Benjamin Button....

Seriously though....Yeah, never going to happen....Even harder when the studios don't care too much about the characters they're using...Outside of Marvel? I can't see much consistency...And even with Marvel, there's only so far they can stretch there....Sadly........

It'll never happen....

Talking about sunglasses, anyone has any idea what brand are Magneto's?

Could they be Tom Ford's Eliott?

Thanks for the help guys. I was going to buy Wolverine's Oliver People but they didn't look to well on me.

That was NOT Stryker's dad in FC. Xavier asked 'Styker's Dad" how his son William was right before the magic trick scene.

To me, the events of DOFP could have changed everything. With STryker now VERY aware of Logan and his abilities apparently before meeting Logan.
Maybe now they could do the Weapon X storyline the right way, where Logan is specifically targeted, kidnapped and experimented on.

Also, I find it hard to believe that Logan met Origins Stryker in 1973. Stryker tells Logan it's been 6 years since they last saw each other. If three mile incident took place in 1979, sure that's 1973.... but I find it hard too believe that Logan, who in DOFP 1973 showed no signs of being a vet, on leave or currently in the war (no tags, etc).... joined the army, went through training, was sent to Vietnam with his brother, then was picked up by Stryker in Vietnam, became an integrated member of the team and abandoned them all in less than a year.
DOFP also does not at all hint that Stryker is in the works etc to create his own mutant team.... as it seems he just works for Trask through a military contract. By no means does he come off as the knowledgable, mutant manipulator with a mutant son that we see in Origins (1973?)

Also, in Wiki.... it states that Logan met Stryker in 1975... not sure where they got that date from or if its official.

But with the inconsistencies between ALL the movies especially in regards to X2 to Origins to DOFP...... who knows?
Again, I think DOFP could have changed everything, making X1, X2 and X3, half of Origins and especially "The Wolverine" possibly no longer in existence.
Apocalypse is to be set with the FC cast and maybe Jackman as Wolverine...... so I'm betting it'll be set in the 80s, probably changing the established Xmen series even more...
They seem reticent to place McAvoy entirely in the chair, and of course shaving his head. I wonder how long they can continue to make excuses and prolong his "Patrick Stewart" phase.

ALL that being said - I'm loving Logan's style in DOFP. Funny enough, even my wife took note and said, "He dresses like you!"
