Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Wested XO update: So after sending back the first Wested I received that was the incorrect length, I finally received the "true" jacket with custom measurements; not only was the jacket I received the correct length, it had more screen accurate coloring for the stripes than my first jacket received!:







As you can see from the new jacket compared to the first one received, the amber tan color for the stripes is much more screen accurate:

I am very pleased with the quality, although the zipper pulls on the chest zippers bug me a little. I have already started to save up for my Vanson XO, which I hope to order as a college graduation present for myself next year.

Wested have been making a better version of their X0 in recent years.....They may still make mistakes, but they're not a bad company to get X0's with...I still have mine, although, like yourself, I saved for a Vanson X0 after the Wested one, because I wanted a heavier, slightly more accurate jacket, and the Wested didn't hit my "nerd" switch in accuracy...

It's still a lovely jacket though...I'll be sending mine on to a friend of mine I think....Better than selling it I reckon...He'll enjoy it, and maybe one day his kids can enjoy it too!

So, I was right about the bone claws and the Kitty thing, even though phasing his mind seems odd. haha I like the new design of the bone claws, they should be flat and sharp like the metal ones, since actual animal claws are like that. They aren't just bone spikes anymore, they are like bone blades. They also look similar to Jimmy Hudson's bone claws. View attachment 248648View attachment 248649

Entirely agreed...Indeed...How would you get the bones into the metal encasement if they WEREN'T that rough shape to start with? You can't....So the natural bone shape should always have followed the metal claw shape actually...Or make the metal claws thicker...No way round that..But these do look rather more "metal"...I like the idea...

I also like imagining what Logan will do with Magneto now that he's not able to be controlled...No belt buckle either, so I reckon he's "safe" this time out....LOL...

Just going by that blurry picture it doesn't look like the bone claws have been redesigned to me. In Origins and The Wolverine they had the blade like shape and were somewhat bumpy which is hard to tell from that picture but with the shadowy appearance I would say they still have the bumpy surface. Take a look at some of the promo pics and screen grabs of the bone claws here:

It will be interesting to see some better pictures though. Also, I can't say I am intimately familiar with the story line from the comics but I understand that it has changed as well. Going just by the movies, it would appear as though Logan was born with the bone claws and in that fight with Sabretooth they were broken off at the base. Then the metal claws were installed in place of the bone claws during the adamantium procedure. This would account for the metal claws being flat, sharp, and without the bony surface and would also cover the blood grooves, as they have been called, that you see in the first X-Men films.

You would use them for impaling instead of cutting, they look more rounded and sharp at the point to me( after watching the special features on origins they are flatter than I thought) . I liked your bone claws a lot, because they look more like blades made out of bone, but the screen used look more bumpy to me. But your are right hopefully we can get a better look at them, but for now it looks like they changed the design, but that's me.
I'm pretty sure that his bone claws grew back after Victor broke them and before he under went the adamantium bonding. Due to what we saw in The Wolverine that the bone claws were encased in metal when we saw them cut through. Also, we saw in The Wolverine just how fast his bone claws grow back.
Anyways, I like your bone claws better than the screen grabs that you posted!

I'm glade I got the bone claws from Darkside501 now more then ever! They do look like real bone and are shaped like the bladed claws and not like a skewer. They are my favorite claws by far. And the more I learn about the future of Wolverine on screen the happier I get that I have the bone claws. FYI I will never want the lighter brown leather jacket Logan is seen in on the pic from DOFP. I hope he gets a new X suit back in the past that I could go after.

Days of the future past is going to erase Wolverine Origins( after he left the group with Striker or perhaps before he joined them), X1,X2, and X3 from ever happening. The fact that it gives them a clean slate to create a new and better saga going forward make me very happy. Furthermore, the know what NOT to do. A question that I came up with is, once Wolverine 's consciousness goes back to 73 and they change the time line, does his consciousness stay with him then? (My guess is yes) And, dose the other time line get erased?(also my guess is yes) This would make for some interesting future movies given Logan has a lot of information on what groups are doing what or who is doing evil. Also the Logan in 73 would still have had all his memories, would he keep them in addition to his future consciousness? If yes, he would know who he is and that he has a brother!

Did you all see the new mutants to the movie saga in the DOFP trailer? Blink, Bishop, Sunspot, Warpath and a lot of the old cast. I also saw Rouge, the person who's hands were on Logan to send his consciousness back could be Rouge with Professor X, Kitty Prides, and or Blinks powers absorbed (in and combo). THat would give her Telepathy, Phasing, and teleportation powers ;p . Anyway, this looks like it could be the best X-men movie yet! Did that blow your mind?

Agreed....I suspect that the bone grows back each time they get broken off...No doubt there....He can't be the Wolverine if his bones didn't grow just as well as the rest of his health.....

I suspect the shape being slightly thinner simply due to the quick freeze frame at 1080 that I saw...It's nothing at all to judge the ACTUAL claws on, of course...Just an impression of a nanosecond....Probably not worth the worry at all, but just my impression......

What I'm interested in seeing is how they get the adamantium back onto Wolverine after The Wolverine.....Magneto could surely manipulate it if they found enough of it? But even then, it'll be interesting seeing how it works out eh?

It all depends on how they work around the "once it cools it's indestructible" thing.. If that means it can't be reformed, then it'll be a little hard to get past without Magneto? Either way, I'm interested in seeing how they play that part...

Time travel can be tricky. Theoretically if some one goes back in time, they change the future of that time line. While theirs stays the same. You change the future of that reality but yours would stay the same because it had already happened.

So if they stop sentinels from being made, that time lines future will be fixed. But the future the dude came from would still have them.

Solider, love the photo shoot. I'm with you the bone claws are just awesome; Darkside501 did a great job! I have always like the bone claws, I like them even better now since the adamantium claws can be cut off, but at least the bone claws grow back. One of my favorite scenes in all the movies is when Wolverine grows his bone claws back and he finishes off Silver Samurai.

Btw, have you heard from Wade recently? I sent him my measurements a few days ago and asked a few more questions and I haven't heard back he could just be busy. My body measurements are a lot different than the standard sizes on the site. For example my back measurement is 20 inches and that just seems kind of short is that normal? The sleeve measurement that I got from my seamstress is 36 in. I'm wondering if the measurements on the site are measurements are from the actual jacket and the reason why my measurements are so different is because it is of my body. I just don't want to send the wrong measurements and screw it up. haha I printed out the Body measuring guide that Wade sent you and took it when I got my measurements taken, so I should be fine, hopefully. lol
