Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

So agreed....The jacket is going to be great....I can't wait until Dan starts offering these..The back details alone are brilliant....

The belt buckle is an interesting choice this time out, but not in a bad way...I'd have preferred the metal Chief's head, but ah well....Variation is no bad thing...The jacket is great..
I have to admit that I wasn't sold on the jacket to begin with, but I love it in this promo pic. It looks darker. It is weird having a Wolverine jacket without stripes though. I wonder if it is pre-Weapon X Wolverine in the 70's, I'm assuming not, because Professor X sends him back to the first thing he remembers, but we saw in The Wolverine he remembers WW2 now and Kayla, so it is confusing. lol I wonder how he gets the jacket back from Origins, since he is wearing the X-1 in X-Men, which I'm assuming is suppose to be the same jacket in the movies, I know that they are only similar though.

I suspect you've already put MORE thought in on the issue than the film makers ever did....They changed it because using the same jacket is "boring", I suspect......Hugh Jackman's lead on the Wolverine movies is probably what resulted in them using the design they used for Origins, since it matches the X1 close enough to provide a link, but there's clearly no overall link to what they choose, outside of a rough idea...They chose one design, changed it slightly each movie, and then Origins attempted to show that there WAS a link...

Wolverine also would have more than one jacket, seeing how treats them...LOL...I can see the 70's version being used early on with the X0 coming in for the 80's and then being stuck with in essentials for the rest of the time, until X Men 3.....That makes about as much sense as we're likely to get on the subject I reckon...

He looks like he walked through a shower or something.......I think it's darker because it's wet.

You're right, but I thought we all probably put more thought into Wolverine than the film markers. haha More or less I was just putting emphasis on the jacket, because I was trying to determine when this version of the 70's falls in the movies. I'm assuming that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is set mostly in the late 70's maybe even the early 80's since his tentus shot on his dog tags is 1978. I'm also assuming that 70's Wolverine has bone claws and a normal skeleton. Also I have heard that William Stryer is making an appearance. I'm more than fine with the jacket though, fits that time.

Yup.. Three Mile Island was 79.. So that's about right.. Very late 70's... The styles shown fit with that more or less, so he may not have the adamantium yet.. Probably doesn't.. Nor the jacket, yet.. I agree..

As for mania... Heheh.. Oh yeah, we all focus waaaay too much.. But that's the fun of it all!! Just, you know, remember these films aren't being made by the kind of fans "we" are...

Jackman is as close as we can get though.. He obviously loves the character enough to invest time in getting small details to come closer to matching!!

He actually does have adamantium in the 70s version of this. The trailer clearly shows him stabbing somebody and you can get a glimpse of his medal claws.

Costume from last night was a HUGE hit...

Your right not sure if you can "clearly" see it,it is like a blink you miss it thing haha, but after pausing the teaser a few times I caught it.

Nice costume EliJ!

Does anyone have clear pictures of their vanson X0 and X2 jackets? The jacket bug catched me again after three years of being clean.:facepalm I have yet to decide wich model I will go with and noticed they aren't very popular or few pictures of them are aviable.

It'd be cool if someone photoshopped some stripes on the sleeves just to see how it'd look! Hmm that's weird if he does have adamantium, I think he's supposed to be sent to 1973, and Stryker's fairly young in this film (is in his 20s or 30s)

Maybe they've just taken X men origins out of the line totally? Lol...
Aside from the jacket, that's not such a bad idea...
But yup, he does have the metal there..

Actually...Thinking about it, the 70's belt wearing Logan being shown with a katana doesn't make much more sense either, since he'd gone to Japan after X Men 3......It seemed fairly clear that that was his first time there after the war....But....He has a katana in the 70's photo version.....Which might mean there's some kind of time slip thing going on....

Who knows eh?

fifthchamber, I was thinking the same thing! I feel like this movie is going to be confusing. haha What is more confusing is how Kitty's phasing power is suppose to send Wolverine's mind to his younger body.

I'd expect Xavier to answer that one, not Kitty..Unless she phases into Wolverine and just "acts like a younger version"...Which'd be just weird...LOL

And yeah, I'm interested to see how it all ties up...They said it would right? Connect the dots of some of the more glaring mistakes from the last sets of movies? It'll be one hell of a thing if they manage to get it all straight.....

Either way, I'm excited to see what they manage!

Are you sure Stryker is young in the next film? I thought Stryker was one of the military people in First Class? He looked old there.

"Apparently, Kitty Pryde will use her powers (??) to send Wolverine back, where he meets the young Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence). Kitty suffers some kind of mishap in the process, forcing the mutants in the present to find someone capable of absorbing Kitty’s powers and returning Wolverine to the present." -http://screenrant.com

I'm with you fifthchamber, it should be Xavier not Kitty, but it looks like according to this it is Kitty. Not sure how she can do that either . haha

The agent in FC is Stryker's dad, Charles reads his mind and says something like "you were thinking of your son, William, which is very nice." In DoFP he's played by this guy who is 27 in real life Josh Helman - IMDb
