Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

That ain't a katana. Watch it in the trailer when it comes out.

Wait...The thing in Logan's right hand, across his knees ISN'T a katana? Umm...It is....Really..I've seen enough to know...Unless it's a light sabre with a katana koshirae....In which case, sure...It's not... ;-)

Indeed..From the length of the tsuka (handle), I'd say it was closer to a wakizashi...There isn't enough room for a two handed grip as easily there, it seems, from that photo....So I'd go with wakizashi.....There's about a palm and a half width on it...It's also not the sword he got from Japan in The Wolverine, since that had a different tsuka-gashira, rounded...And in brown thread, not the black that this katana/waki has......

So, a different sword...Perhaps no need to have it connected to Japan at all....But interesting, nonetheless....

The agent in FC is Stryker's dad, Charles reads his mind and says something like "you were thinking of your son, William, which is very nice." In DoFP he's played by this guy who is 27 in real life Josh Helman - IMDb

Sorry; Thanks for clearing that up.
I know X2 was the best of the films, but the film makers are really pushing this Styker stuff.

It's kind of ironic that they changed the jacket in a way.

The cafe racer stripey style motorcycle jackets were invented in that time period. That is when he would've been most likely to pick up a jacket like that in the real world.

Oh well.

Interestingly, Singer confirmed that the 1973 Wolverine doesn't have the adamantium yet...Which means these claws aren't metal.....Apparently...Even though that's what I see.....Dammit...(Having just watched this in 1080, it's clearly bone...New design perhaps? Closer to the shape of the metal blades, but there's rippling on them at HD quality..)

Also, the hands are Kitty Pride's..They chose Wolverine to be taken back in the film because he was "the only one who could recover from the pain of Kitty phasing his mind in time"....

Cool..

Does anyone have clear pictures of their vanson X0 and X2 jackets? The jacket bug catched me again after three years of being clean.:facepalm I have yet to decide wich model I will go with and noticed they aren't very popular or few pictures of them are aviable.

Outlaw,

I think there are quite a few pictures on FJ.com. A member is selling his X2 size 42, and it looks brand new (the stripes don't look distressed). I have one of these, and it is freaking cool. There is also a member selling a distressed XO size 46.

No problem! And if you are seriously interested, it would be a way to go (if the size is right). There would be no wait time to worry about. The last I heard there was a long wait on that awesome hide. Dan was able to find a dark brown hide that was VERY close to the screen used.

So, I was right about the bone claws and the Kitty thing, even though phasing his mind seems odd. haha I like the new design of the bone claws, they should be flat and sharp like the metal ones, since actual animal claws are like that. They aren't just bone spikes anymore, they are like bone blades. They also look similar to Jimmy Hudson's bone claws. Wolverine 70's claw 2.pngJimmy bone claws.png

Ah nice, I was leaning towards bone claws because Stryker is still a youngin at this time. Gotta admit though, they do look close to adamantium blades now... maybe he sharpens em like Victor did in the Origins first scene? I also was thinking Charles transfers Logan's mind, but I'm glad they still put Kitty in the travelling equation

They said a while ago that Kitty was going to get her powers enhanced by Xavier to send him back in time. Also for the ladies and....other...guys...Hugh said when he gets sent back in time, we'll see his consciousness nude phasing through time if that makes sense at all.

Entirely agreed...Indeed...How would you get the bones into the metal encasement if they WEREN'T that rough shape to start with? You can't....So the natural bone shape should always have followed the metal claw shape actually...Or make the metal claws thicker...No way round that..But these do look rather more "metal"...I like the idea...

I also like imagining what Logan will do with Magneto now that he's not able to be controlled...No belt buckle either, so I reckon he's "safe" this time out....LOL...

Exactly, Fifth! He can poke around at his mortal enemy with no bounds! Jackman does say Logan has a bit of fun with it since young Mag has no clue who Logan is yet

He ain't safe, he's still got the zippers and buttons on his pants. Not to mention those rivets on his belt.

He's safer than when he has the adamantium. Haha Magneto won't be able to do as much, which will be interesting considering the rivialiy there. I can't wait to get a better glimpse of the bone claws. A lot of people hate the bone claws, I was born in the nineties, so I grew up with Wolverine having the bone claws. I hated how the first 3 X-Men movies had lines in them that went against him having natural claws before the admantium. It just makes more sense that he was born with them. Back to the Magneto thing, Wolverine can always throw on a pair of sweat pants and attack Magneto, if his jeans and belt are really a issue. haha It is weird thinking about how much metal is in clothing.

I can see him with no metal on and young mags stunned that he can't hold him back and logan saying, "what now, bitch"
