Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I'd need to see it again, but I don't think that's what he wore.....That's a Kendo dogi....Normal gear for Kendo..But not something you'd wear after a shower in summer....I suspect his was a normal 上着 (Uwagi), meaning a "top covering", since the style is common as hell...That fabric is unlikely, unless because they were in Japan, they decided to use kendo gear....It's not something anyone would choose outside of Kendo....

The sheer amount of this pattern styled kimono, haori, jinbei (which are summer wear, popular and sold everywhere) and budogi make it hard to be sure..I'd need to see the fabric closer...But I'd say it's unlikely unless they just picked "whatever".....And while watching, I didn't think "oh! Kendogi" when I saw it...Which I would have noticed (I'm a martial artist, and wouldn't miss that I suspect)...I'd just assumed kimono....

Does anyone have any good hi-res captures of that scene?

Yeah, I checked, and it's not a Kendogi.....Colouring here is limited also, if the fabric is dyed traditionally, since the Japanese only used a few selected colours in the countries history...The dark blue/purple is the one used for the Kendogi, but the one I see in the trailer isn't that, and has a white stud pattern on it..The fabric is also lighter than the Kendogi (they're a heavier fabric), and looks closer to something made to be worn to relax..Not while doing Kendo...

The design is the same, essentially, but the fabric and colour are off, as is the "purpose" it was made for.....I'll keep an eye out here, but I'd doubt I could find the exact same one used in the film unless I had a hand on the original one used....

Let us know if you find one fifthchamber, it would be cool if they just bought one in Japan and used it instead of making their own. I wished we could find more of his wardrobe from The Wolverine. I have a shirt and pair of pants that is similar to what he wore in The Wolverine. It isn't screen accurate, because I had this shirt and pants about 2 years before the movie. The boots are screen accurate though, haha

Hi guys, I'm a long time reader and finally decided to post my experience with getting my own Wolverine jacket; due to my budget, I decided to go with Wested's version of the XO jacket because it looked to be the most decent quality for the price. So after exchanging emails back and forth with Gemma (and Peter when Gemma was gone for her wedding), I sent them my custom measurements for the jacket, which they said they would gladly apply once I paid the customization fee. I have a 42" chest and a 30" waist at a height of 5' 6", so finding jackets that fit me well is very difficult. There is no customization option on the Wested page for an XO jacket, so I asked Peter what I should do and he said to order the size that matches my chest and they'll attach my custom measurements to the order. After paying for the jacket and the extra customization fee and submitting my order, I didn't hear back from Peter for 2 weeks until I received an email notifying me that the jacket had been shipped. I thought this was strange since I never received any confirmation that my jacket was being made or any other form of communication after they received my custom measurements, but I figured they probably just finished it quick and sent it off. I even called the store a few times and was told every time that Peter was with customers and to call back later. Well it arrived today (with additional customs/brokerage charges) and while I'm quite pleased with the quality, they sent me a regular off-the-rack size medium jacket:

Well the jacket actually fits okay, however I specifically requested a length of 22" (to be screen accurate with my height) and the jacket is 4" longer than I requested. This upsets me because aside from the length, I'd be very satisfied with the product. I wrote Peter an email today regarding my order, but I know he wont respond until next week. I'm really frustrated because I know he'll ask me to send it back for alterations and it'll take several more weeks to get the jacket that should have been sent right the first time. I was hoping to have it for Halloween too, since I'm going to be Wolverine and thought the jacket would be a nice extra touch. Here's a pic of the front and back of the jacket:

I'll post updates as they come in. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly.

Aside from the length and zipper pulls, the Wested doesn't look too shabby.
I've not appreciated Wested consistent disregard to customer's requests and wishes about length. Too bad as these two things would set them apart from Heron.

Wow, they actually added the ducktail finally. The thing I always preferred over my vanson was the look of the leather on the Wested.

Yeah, the ducktail was one of the main reasons I went with the Wested over the Wolverinejackets.com jacket; I contacted WJ initially and he told me that more people preferred to not have the ducktail so he would not be able to make me a jacket with one.

The first thing I always notice about heron and wested origins jackets ate tge zippers going the wrong way on the jacket nicejackets though still

So Peter from Wested responded to me today and he informed me that my custom XO jacket order was submitted and that my jacket is actually being made as we speak, but I was sent an off-the-rack size medium due to a miscommunication by someone that was helping out in the shop in Gemma's absence. He was apologetic and assured me that I will receive the jacket that I ordered. I'm relieved, although this really could have all been avoided with better communication and prompt responses to emails. I'll post the pics of the final jacket when it is received, hopefully before Halloween!

Sp1derman: I inquired about the zippers, but never got a direct response if they could be changed. I really don't like the circular zipper pulls, but I can live with them.

The circles can be hidden by adding accurate leather pulls what I mean is the real jacket when zippers are closed they go towards the waist not the chest

Found the green pants last week. Believe it or not, he's wearing Dockers (style is called "Off the Clock").

Yeah, I think they are 'close enoughs' too. The shirt and pants I'm wearing on the previous page are both Dockers. Does anyone know Heron's email?

About the pants, check out this link below, select rifle green as the color and then compare it with the ones hugh is wearing in the pic Fifth put up of him...I don't think the dockers are the pants. The belt loops look to skinny and further away from the crotch on the Dockers vs the ones Hugh is wearing. I think they're 'close enoughs'

Dockers Men's Off the Clock Straight Fit Flat Front Pants - Clothing - Men's - Pants

They're so close that there may have just been a factory change or something. That hip pocket is perfect. I've got a pair and the only real difference I can find is mine have one missing stitch line on the fly. Got the Wolverine Raider 6" boots too. Now still looking for the belt for the green pants and the black raincoat in the funeral scene...

Looking at these pants in the japanese house and the ninja scene, I'm convinced that they aren't this green everybody says they are. I think they are more of a washed out brown more than anything, the lighting is just making it appear diffrently in the footage. I looked at a lot of the B-roll footage and the pants look just that in sunlight. Anybody going as funeral wolverine? Thought about it but I can't find a cheap trench for it. I've got everything for the ninja scene one but I'm a fraid i won't be recognizable to anybody vs wearing my usual vanson jackets ya know?

We'll as fare as coats go I will never buy another Wested.... The day I got it I had to take it to a taylor. Unzipped the cuff was enormous. Even when zipped up it was unbelievably loose. In fact the only time the cuff was the right size was when it was zipped up. I don't know who they size these coats too but it was Crazy. I had my friend who is 6 foot 4 put it on. The waste was the right length but the sleeves were still too long? The coat is a size 44. Another really big problem is the pleats on the back don't stay folded in. There always crumpled up and sticking out. It looks absolutely terrible.... So now I'm about $350 in on this coat and I hate it...

And as far as Logan's closet goes that has to be the worst communication I've ever had with anybody.. $900 and 8 months of horrible communication has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.. The test coat he sent out was of the most insanely high quality I've ever seen. That's the only thing that still got me in on this. Would still even consider buying another coat from him. I just wish his communication skills were a lot better.
