Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

If you noticed on the new design, (focusing at the armpit area) there are still the football gussets in this pattern of this particular jacket. I've asked him to remove it from the X1 pattern, as it's not screen accurate.

From the looks of that x1 because I got my XO before the film was even released all they did was use the X-1 jacket and added more leather to the back and front might explain why it's a looser fit I suppose

Did you receive a Heron? The X1 is NOT an alteration of any other Wolverine jacket. That is what Wested does. Heron uses different patterns that match closer to the SA, similar to what Vanson does...seperate patterns for each jacket, custom to order.

Yeah I got a heron in 2010 and the pattern is so weird it looks more like the x1 it's bigger at the bottom then the shoulders and I wonderd if they made an x1 before the XO if they just changed the bottom because my XO even has the stripes going all the way aroundsame as their x1

I received my X2 in 2010 as well. Sounds like their first run of X1's, based loosely on both, with XO just released the year before. As of right now, the patterns are solid with no flim-flam cross over details.

Well, on the photos above I see big differences. Just look at the zipper placement and angles. The fashion version also appears to have a wider chest area. the biker version has the curved sleeves which are not accurate as well.

Both look good but not consistent. Which is more recent? I don;t think either of those are the most current. Drool?

The bottom images are the most current that I know of. If anyone else has more updated X1 desgins from Heron, I haven't been privy to them.

But maybe you can decide based on the screen used jacket:

I personally see slight curvature, but that may be an optical illusion from the wearing and distressing. I've asked the owner of FJ.COM for his option, as he handled the jacket and took these photos. So it's really a matter of perspective I suppose.

I'm in talks with another company about making their jacket more accurate as they also come with removable CE armor which will give me more incentive to by as i hope to get a bike in the future :)

What company if I may ask?

On the screen used jacket...no has yet to step forward and claim the maker nor have photos of it other than on Hugh in the film. All we know is that since that most of it was filmed in New Zealand, the jacket was manufactured locally, hence the Aussie style zip-up sleeve gussets.

My main issue still is the narrow shoulders. As you can see on the original the shoulders are wider at the top of the back curve. The Heron model has the reverse.

I kept bringing that up as I myself am broad shouldered and the screen jacket works better for me not just aesthetically but personally.

I agree about the shoulder. I will address that to Jorge. You also have to remember that the jacket was also designed to have the jean jacket underneath it for layering purposes, as Hugh wasn't bulked up as it he was in X2 and on. So the jacket is wider with more room in the shoulders and torso.

Hugh was a last minute replacement. Which would mean the jacket was done before him. They added the jean jacket to fill him out. I don't believe they designed the jacket with that in mind.

Jacket is just 1-2 sizes too big for him. It was more of a "How do we save the jackets already made?" issue is all I'm saying. You know all this stuff.

Leathers club they make mice jackets they just need to improve on accuracy theyre also pretty cheap and custom make for an extra £15 if I grabbed more people interested in the jacket im sure they'd add aby alterations needs I've told them to add the zipper twine and make the zippers go the right way along with adding the shoulder and arm pattern that most jackets missed

I don't settle for just "cheap". I compromise for quality and price. Which is why I dealt with Heron in the first place . As they make & sell a quality custom jacket at a reasonable pricetag. Understanding that it's design is strictly fashion, and not heirloom/riding like Vanson. But if that's all your looking for is a cheap find, I won't knock that at all.

Hugh was found as Dougray Scott passed for MI:2, but he's not any bigger than Hugh. It was never confirmed why the jacket was designed to those specs, nor the reason for the layering. I'm not speculating, just throwing out the facts. After diggining around Dougray is 2" shorter that Hugh. Go figure on that one...

can it be altered or do you guys think its decent it is a very thin leather which i love as i can wear it all year :)

Seems to me, there is too much room in the sleeves. The length looks fine. The jacket isn't flattering, but it's ideal for your height. Did you ask for a custom or off the shelf/in stock jacket?
