Hey guys thanks for the input

the wested and Herons are right in my budget area so knowing what people who own them think really helps me out.

and Fifth it was Westeds X:O jacket I was looking at as it seems pretty much spot on for the price

The X-0 that I own is pretty close to spot on for the money I paid...I'd agree that it's a good deal.
Given a choice between my Wested and a Vanson, of course, I'd choose Vanson, but for the cash, yeah, the Wested X-0 at least is very well done...(The X-1 I can't comment on, since I've not owned one..)

As for being long in the body, well, the X-0 design is longer than the X-1 I think...But you can ask for a shorter length in the back, and that controls that a touch as well..So it's not beyond your personal control I think?

And yeah, the Wested Hero's origins I know...I'm an Indy nut as well as a Wolverine man...And appreciate all the work Tony put in on the Indy jackets...As well as being a damned good bodybuilder he did the groundwork there and we all have a lot to thank him for....I own a Crystal Skull jacket of his that's still the best Indy jacket I own...(As much as I prefer Raiders design..)...So yeah...Tony kicked arse...

Interestingly, I'd say that out of the Wested X-0 and the Vanson X-1 I own, my favourite is the X-1.....Because it's shorter in the body, and slightly better contoured...So I agree with Encased about the general shape being nicer...

But overall, the Wested (X-0) is very good money for what you get for sure......

See, that's odd as the XO should be the more contoured/fitted jacket of the 2. Wested's XO does look good and I see they added the custom option on it. Not sure when they did that. I would definitely have them shorten the body a bit as it's listed as a 28" back for a size 44. I'd take at least 3-4 inches off that.

Can you post pics of your Wested XO? I'd love to see some of the details on it like the back of the neck attachment, shape of the kidney panel, stitching on the sleeves. Laid out flat would be good. I can take pics of my Vanson XO so we can compare.

I'd also be interested in finding out the shoulder seam measurement as 24.5" seems short for the sleeves.
 
Does anyone posted pictures of them wearing the vanson XO on this forum. I'm asking becose I would like to see how the jacket look on someone ''in the wild'' I can't remember anyone posting any or clear ones.
 
I had posted some pics on Filmjackets.com, but not here. That was new out of the box. I've been breaking mine in as well. Tough jacket to break in. I'l try to get some up as well.
 
I posted some photos of my Wested X-0 a while back in this thread? They should still be up, I've not deleted them from Photobucket....

And I went custom..Since I agree, the specs they listed for the general sizes wouldn't have suited me especially well....With Wested it's usually a better bet to customise what you want, since that way you stand a far better chance of getting a decent looking jacket...Not something made for "average Joe"...

The arm stitching is still slightly off point..In the wrong place..And the leather is thin..Which feels less "right" than my Vanson...(Which is built like a brick sh@t house)..The back of the neck is close to the movie, and the kidney panel too....And I've never had the problem of the shoulder orange sections "popping out" as I've heard they used to...

I think you could find the pics a few pages back..Maybe from about 93 on? I think...

I didn't fellowed the forum regularly as I usually do in the last few months. I'm still thinking about picking up a new jacket even tought my Vanson X1 still is my favorite jacket. it's distressing nicely.

No one offended me I havent liked the fit since I got it it flares at the bottom :-/ I'm tryna figure out how to tell my dad who bought it when he was broke that im not happy with the fit and I want to sell it for a more accurate jacket the leathers club looks really nice and the minute I said there are inaccuracies they contacted their tailor to fix it. And they custom make. Them if you are unhappy with of the shelf look

Your jacket actually looks pretty good from what I see. But you need a jacket sized to you as your shoulders are much narrower than that particular jacket. That in turn makes the sleeves too long. The length looks right for you as your torso is long.

You could always try building up your shoulders to fill it out. I'm doing that myself, not just for jacket reasons though.
 
i've been trying for 3 years even had personal trainers :/ doctor says there's some muscle issues with bulking up im training again but it's making me leaner not bigger
 
I kind of have the same issue. Wrecked my shoulders (lots of clicking sounds from weak tendons). But there are exercises you can do with basic bands to strengthen the tendons back up. Once that's done you can start adding weight to bulk them up. It's a rehab workout 3 times a day to get them going until they act normal again.

You have to strengthen them 1st before trying to pack on the weight to bulk up. Otherwise you injure them further and make the situation worse.

Mines cellular im the freek of the gtm i can lift like the massive guys my doctor tryed to explain but I don't understand lots of scientific words I don't get even being a science nerd lol but I can seriously strengthen I do 80 ( no idea what weight it is in killos) on the cable machine on my shoulder 4 sets of 10 pluss loads of chest that works the shoulder too it's just a pain doesnt help that I forget to eat lol im tryna get in good shape for spidy but all that's improving is my arms lol
 
hey guys need some help with the leather here are the 3 options

Option # 1: Distressed Brown Cowhide Leather jacket with 1.1mm – 1.2mm gauge
Option # 2: Distressed Brown Analene Leather Jacket with 0.6mm – 0.7mm gauge
Option # 3: Brown Analene Leather Jacket with 0.6mm – 0.7mm gauge

I'm guessing the cowhide is going to look more accurate?
