Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

i like my clothes very snug always have all i want is the back taken in slightley and the arms to be thken in and have that weird curve wolverines has i just cant figure out if its cheaper to alter it or get a new one. btw are the zippers going the right direction on min are they meant to zip up or down

i also forgot to mention i have a wolverine uniform jacket to but where it is pleather and was displayed for years on my wall the pleather has disintegrated on the collar is there anyway to fix this?

Those boots in design work fine, yes...Although not exact of course....

I think the new Wolverine film has "Wolverines", Raiders type, in brown, with a steel toe...They're the pair I own and are very decent boots...So worth a look at for themselves...Men's Raider Wolverine MultiShox® Contour Welt® Steel-Toe EH 6" Boot - W02419 - Steel Toe Work Boots

But the ones you posted aren't a million miles off the originals he used in the first few films....

hey BatFan, quick question, looking at the Wested website the detailed leather parts of the jacket look very redish, what are they like in person?

also thanks for doing the review, its great to know i can now go on a day trip and end up getting a XO jacket :D

The stripes on my wested jackets are made of a different leather to the rest of the jacket and haven't been weathered like the rest of the jacket, it does have a slightly shiny appearance, so I don't think it's an exact replica. if I wanted I could weather the stripes but I'm happy that the jacket looks close if not exact. I've worn my jacket every day since I got it, it's great. I must have spent an hour at wested trying on all the different styles of Logan jacket in medium and small, with a jumper with a hoodie, with a t-shirt. I was very fussy and Gemma didn't mind. If you can it's well worth a visit. I'll be wearing it to the London comic con if you're going.

I'm also interested in knowing this. Because on the website they look like a dark orange, but in the picture you posted they look closer to the amber tan color.

Mine are closer to amber/tan....Not as close to the red as they seem in the Wested photos....

Colourwise, I'd not fault the Wested choice of colours at all...They're about right...Design wise there's a slight difference, and of course weight wise the Wested is much lighter than my Vanson....But the essentials are there...If the colours are too light you can do what I've done on my Raiders jackets and darken the leather a touch with Pecards leather treatment....

The body of the Wested jacket is cowhide (Predistressed) and the arm stripes are lambskin in the lighter tan colouring....

This should show it a little easier than I can in words...

I added the tassles, since the Wested won't come with those sadly, but they're easy to add with the right leather and colouring them was easy too...

I agree the one on the site doesn't make it look great that one looks really good.

This thread is lookin' kinda dead because all of this stuff was talked about in the first pages...SIGHHHH...Anyways, the Wolvie teaser is due out in 4 more days.
 
I dunno...I think the designs of some of the places that make the jackets change enough that a renewed discussion about them brings up new points to talk about...

In Wested's case this is doubly true seeing as the designs they have that were talked about at the start of this thread are obviously somewhat different to the one I posted (from last year)...So there's not a retread there....Just a change and a talk about it....

Nothing so bad with that I think...

As for the new film, well, the clothes aren't really looking as "on point" this time out, but it'll be good to see if there's any sign of hope with the new trailer eh?I suspect there won't be a jacket...Sadly..But maybe something will come through....

Here's hoping...Either way, I don't see the jacket talk as a rehash, just an update to the previous stuff...
 
Well, there's a new pic from the toy fair in The Wolverine thread. It shows what Silver Samurai looks like as an action figure from the movie.
 
Leather restoration kits available on eBay for about £15 I bought a black one recently to patch up a large scuff on my army boots (I remember a time when I would have just bought a new pair of boots), equally if your not confident with ur DIY skills a cobbler with repair it for you for about £30.
 
If the cut's not so deep, you can use something like Pecards to cover over the cut and worked in once or twice that'll face to a slightly lighter area only...I can't really see how deep it is, but small scrapes I've covered with Pecards fine....
