Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

So I'm def agreeing that it's the Wolverine Raiders....I also think they MAY be STEEL TOED....steel toed boots almost always have that distinctive line across the boot tip where the steel toe cap is...hard to see in the pic..but I THINK it's there...lol what say everyone else?

I can agree with the steel toe as well.....they have a certain look to the toe. Although from a costuming point of view....I wouldn't have the actor wear steel toe as the non steel toe would be less heavy and wearing on an actor that's on his feet all day. But, maybe it's actually part for safety reasons.

I bought the non steel toe, and really can't wait! I've said for years the Logan should wear work boots, or real boots and not Frye's, etc. (I also think his clothes should be cheap walmart, hahaha) Having him wear Wolverine's is just icing on the cake.

Backstage, entirely agreed...They're great shoes...And make a lot of sense for the character too...I made the point about the steel toe in my earlier post 2113 above, and I don't think I'm wrong....While the steel is heavier than the clear shoes, the difference isn't so noticeable that it'd make things harder for Jackman..That, plus the safety factor would account for the use of them I suspect....(Although it might just have been something Jackman wore and liked so much he wanted to use them..I saw a photo of him in Japan wearing the clothes he's in above, so it seems he used them off stage too?)

And yeah, the sole on the left shoe in the Jackman photo shows the same line in a whiter area near the toes as is there in the new shoes I showed...I suspect the lack of detail is because of wear and the lines there being worn down or covered with dirt/mud...Or just the angle of the photo....They weren't trying to take shots of his shoes sadly...LOL

As a small aside..I sent an email asking Wolverine if they'd possibly comment on the idea I had about their shoes being used, and am waiting for a reply...Maybe it won't come...But either way, I'm sure they'd benefit some from the involvement...Even if only in a small way....We'll see what they say..

Incidentally.....

While looking through the rest of Wolverine's gear...I found this...

Anyone else think this is pretty much spot on for the shirt Jackman is wearing in the photo we posted on the previous page? The blue one? Look at the pockets? Cut off corner? If you left the buttons unfastened? Wouldn't that hit pretty much spot on?

Shame we can't see the left side..There might be a tag remaining there...But it's possible right?

But that shirt, in denim? No? Those pockets are distinctive...Two, with cut corners, and one rounded corner? Wide opening and hem there? Rounded shirt hem at the base? Long sleeves...No?

If he is wearing a Wolverine shirt....I find it interesting that suddenly the costume design went from high price designer wear to what Logan actually would be wearing which is hard wearing working man's clothes....I like it. It's just even that much better that it's Wolverine brand (if the shirt is Wolverine) I do wish he'd have an awesome leather jacket in this one though.....


On a side note: If I ordered the X2 from Logan's closet or from Heron can I get the suede stripes in a different colour than the yellow?

Yeah...Despite the small differences in the shirts I mentioned, I think it's a fair bet that someone with Jackman's humour would have thought of the idea of using Wolverine gear and thrown them into the mix perhaps....It's more than possible...The shirt, while not a direct match in it's current form is the closest I've seen in a couple of searches...

The two pockets, wide pocket opening seam, cut corners on the pocket bottoms, high neck button (7 buttons), colour scheme and curved hem point to it being more than interestingly similar to the Wolverine one I posted...

It's off...Just slightly...But the Wolverine one is still the closest I've found...

And I agree entirely....Using a brand like Wolverine makes sense...The character has always been a worker...He'd use something well built to take the punishment....Wolverine's fit..Plus the name is too cool to not take!

I'm surprised it took this long actually! But then, these recent movies are the only ones where Hugh Jackman has been more influential in the choices made...They're more "his" movies..Done by him, for his love of the character....So perhaps his humour finally brings the gear "right"?

I still resent the jacket..LOL...I rather liked the last one...And all the previous ones..Shame to lose that..But....Who knows?

I've had his DOFP leather coat from the comics and I didn't even know it until i saw the comic. HOpefully, jackman plays a role in the new movie so we can have a new leather. DOFP has potential of being the best x-men movie there is but i already kno it's going to be nothing like the comic since you can't just kill wolverine like that

I agree the potential is definitely there. I think wolverines healing factor has become more effective over the years and he would have survived what happened in dofp. The best example I can think of is when he goes up against nitro in civil war.

Really hope there's a new jacket still hopeful the wolverine will have one

I did a search and didn't come up with anything but it wasn't an in depth search.

Just got my raiders....going to wear them around work and see how it goes.....

I own another pair of Wolverines and they for some reason only work great for my right foot and my left foot and leg are in serious pain.... hopefully it's a flaw in those boots

You're talking two different categories of quality here. But Vanson might have some other color options. You should just ask Dan at Logan's Closet. What color were you thinking?

I knew I could do different color options from LC but I wasn't sure it was possible for the X2...

I was thinking on the turning the yellow stripes a dark blue, and keeping maroon of the inside of the suede...

Dan made it clear you could get the coat in purple and pink if you wanted to, that's no problem. The old version of his site had the color choices you could pick but I I don't see them anymore. As far as the Wolverine Raiders are concerned, I have not have a problem with them and I live in the city.
