That is freaky good Vash!

I agree that I couldn't see what was wrong with it untill I see that it now looks better! LOL!

It's sad that I can see a tiny warp in a TK helmet a mile away, but a beautiful girls face? Nah, don't see the details! :lol

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

Thanks so much again everyone, it's really been a journey to get the sculpt back to this point.

camper - It would be an honor to see what a skilled painter like you can do with this :thumbsup!

Great likeness capture. I tried to find a thread about your RDJ sculpt but didn't see one. From what I can see from your avatar it looks great as well.

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

Absolutely beautiful. The rework is amazing. Man you have some serious talent

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

Just wanted to congratulate you on this stunning piece of art! Very very nicely done! Any plans on selling a few resin copies?

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

My pants have been shatnered. I wanted to fight you when you defaced that thing of beauty - then you actually one-upped yourself. Those who've said Milla's tough to nail (unless, of course, you've directed her in a film - ZING) are really right. Over her career, her weight - and weight training - has fluctuated, and it seems like you always see it in her face first. Sometimes she's very soft-featured...sometimes very angular. This sculpture seems to be born of this - this pate would be as at home as Alice or Violet as it would be with a bright orange wig-doo.

If you're gonna' cast it up, don't do resin - do foam so I can buy one to make out with, er - DISPLAY PROUDLY IN MY HOME!

Great work!

Very much looking forward to the completed one.

I'd be interested if you sell them.

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

The first images were a very nice sculpt, but I think the version 2 really improves the likeness.

Great job!

Thanks so much guys!
Like I mentioned, I've been quite busy at work the past few weeks, but I will finally will have time to get back to the sculpt this coming week and hopefully start doing some texture work.
Anyway, since my last update, I began working on the right ear and worked on the forehead structure.
I placed the head on the shoulder section again since I was getting anxious and took another pic.
Here's a side by side pic with the real Milla:

It's not quite the same angle and different expressions, but I know realistically I can't get it exact to any picture, so I'm shooting for recognizably close. I'm taking bits and pieces from different pictures to get an amalgam of structure and detail.

Do the corners of the eyes by the nose need to set in a little more?

*edit, I dont mean the eyes, but the sides of the nose by the eyes.

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

Wow, thanks for that Brad! Now I know to move the mole lower and to the right (left in pic).

Amadscientist - Thanks for the compliment. I'm using Roma Plastilina clay. It has sulfur, so not really ideal for molding with silicone (it has to be sealed with clear or primer), but it's what I've always used. I have to try Chavant one day.

cklinejr - Do you mean the space between the nose and corner of the eyes?
If so, it is recessed, but in the picture it's reflecting the light so it doesn't look like it.
If not, I'd like to know what you mean since I want to improve the sculpt.

Re: WIP My first female portrait sculpt - Can you guess who it is? Version II

yep, I see it now (that the light is reflecting off that area)

The makeup also extenuates it on Milla
