Where To Get The Best Indiana Jones Prop Replicas..

Thanx again guys.. I bought a Noble headpiece but the seller still hasn't gotten back to me about shipping and seems he is known to do this and not ship.. So still looking for one, might end up over at Acme but hoping for a better one..

On a related note, does anyone know where I can get a decent replica of the Fertility Idol?

Def. check out Indygear.

With regard to fedoras, tor the best customer service and amazing products, seek John Penman, aka member BendingOak here.

For a great grail diary, PM Sarednab.

Never even seen any of the pricier fedoras (I understand several of the COW members are quite talented makers themselves!), but on the recommendation of board members there, I purchased an Akubra Federation IV (from Australia), which is - or was - their newest Indy-style fedora. $140 shipped, and it's a heck of a hat. I love it. If you're low on funds, this is a "compromise" that IMO is no compromise.

My jacket came from US Wings, which offers a discount to COW members on certain (pricier) versions. Mine was just the plain old cowhide version, and like the hat, I love it. $300 or so, shipped - I use it as a real, walking-around jacket in spring and fall. Too warm for summer, not warm enough for winter.

I do not have an authentic whip yet, and it will be quite a while before I do, if ever. IIRC, it came from MAC Whips, on eBay, a few years back, and cost a whopping $25:$. My bag came from Costume Base, and looks decent - I added the leather strap from Todd's, don't remember how much that was but it wasn't much and looks much better than the stock strap. I don't have an idol, which is probably the next piece I want. It'd be nice to have one I could cart around in the bag when I'm wearing the Indy costume.

Speaking of where to find Indy props, does anyone know where (or who) I can get a Cross of Coronado replica? I've seen them on Amazon and they pop up on eBay from time to time, but thought I'd ask here first to get a better idea.

I don't think anybody who has done runs in the past is currently doing any more right now, although I could be wrong. You could drop RelicMaker a message and see if he has any left over from previous runs. I know Sarednab did the last run of Crosses, but I am pretty sure he is sold out.

Your best bet would be to post a WTB ad on here for a cross. You might get lucky where someone is thinking about selling theirs....

Good Luck!!

Awesome info and advice GeordieIndy. Thanks. I'll reach out to Sarednab and see what he says, I got my grail diary from him so would make sense to do the same with the cross.

Indeed, RelicMaker or Sarednab's corsses are the most accurate out there. All others are mostly way too thing, or just plain ugly and inaccurate. ReelArt for instance is offering crosses that are just so ugly I wouldn't give 5 bucks for them. I'm pretty sure the only decent ones out there are from RelicMaker or Sarednab. Don't go for anything else!

Tom, yeah I saw the RealArt one on eBay and that's why I'm asking here. I figured I could do way better.

Great advice as always!! :thumbsup
