What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

Re: What's on your workbench?

There is way too much raw materials sitting on my workbench (futon)!

1. Captain Jack Sparrow frock coat (button holes and dying).
2. At World's End chart to the world beyond the living
3. Cannibal Jack Sparrow crown

5. Pirate Elizabeth Swann baldric
6. Cannon linstock
7. Captain Jack Sparrow plastic sword and flintlock in need of realistic paint jobs
8. All Captain Sao Feng leather parts including belt, neckpiece, and wrist guards.

Re: What's on your workbench?

I'm bumping this because as a noob I don't feel that my work deserves it's own entire thread on the RPF :p

Here are two things that have been taking up a fair bit of my time as of late:

The Giga Meter from Ghostbusters 2 (also appeared in Star Trek VI albeit modified).

I've gone and moulded this up and managed to do a test cast of the bottom portion today.

However, I'm still waiting on the actual resin I want to use for the GM to show up.

I also put together the masters for a GB2 trap kit:

I also made some cast from its moulds earlier today:

I was quite happy that the parts were able to go together right out of the moulds. Of course, for a perfect fit they'll need some clean up.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Hmm..... this is probably a huge newb question.

Are the USCM rifles based off of the Spaz shotguns?

I was at An army surplus store looking around and the guy pulled out the Shotgun from T1. :eek

When I saw that It looked remarkably similar to parts of the gun, I was wondering if that is what was used as a base.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Main gun is a Thomson M1A1, along with a SPAS12 barrel cage and pump with Remington 870 shotgun inside.

Re: What's on your workbench?

On my bench...

UNI_0279.jpg

POTA: Painting resin sculpt of gorilla soldier.

PREDATOR: Finishing biohelmet for current Predator costume. Just need to installl mesh in lenses. I am also doing an AVP Shuriken.

BOSSK: Beginning mask repaint and upgrade for costume.

TERMINATOR: Mask repaint, LED light fitting, and assembly for Endoskeleton costume.

I have a few things going on at the same time as many of these require the same type of paint. While one is drying/setting, I usually dip into something else. And while I am waiting for a part/piece for one, I contunie with the other one.

Well, I'm working on getting caught up on a couple things:

1) Voyager Style Hypospray (painting now)
2) 2 Sm. Voyager PADDs (need some more sandpaper for round the edges, then will be ready to paint)
3) Hairbrush Dermal Regenerator (kind of at a stand still, not sure how to continue)

Re: What's on your workbench?

Well not counting my own stuff, here's what I need to start/finish:
- Rebel Fleet Trooper helmet
- Aliens Pulse Rifle

- FX Armor

Mold making will begin within 24 hours.

Other than that, I've been spendign a lot of time working on my tank project which doesn't look like it's getting anywhere:

I'm also getting my new boat squared away so I'll be comfortable living on board:

Re: What's on your workbench?

Random workbench shot with this past week's work on it:

Shoppics002.jpg

This includes the first castings of my HALO buckets, the McQuarrie Concept trooper lid I made lenses for, the TK faceplate I made lenses for, my Fett bucket which needed some touch-ups, The T-visor I cut and formed for a TDH member, and the gold HALO face shield I'm tinkering with.

Oh, and one space marine helmet...
