I'm in the process of compiling a list of Costuming Clubs (both past and present) for archival purposes and I was wondering if I have missed any.
For this project I am working with the definition of "Costuming Club" as : An organized group consisting of costumers/cosplayers that focus on the costumes of a specific franchise or theme.
This is what I have so far:
- 501st Legion (Star Wars, Bad Guys)
- Rebel Legion (Star Wars, Good Guys)
- Mandalorian Mercenaries (Star Wars, Neutral Guys)
- 405th Division (Halo)
- Starfleet 1701st (Star Trek)
- Ghostbusters
- Avengers Initiative (Marvel)
- Brotherhood of the Bat (Batman)
- Blackstar Squadron (Battlestar Galactica)
- Wasteland Outpost (Fallout)
- Society for Creative Anachronism (Medieval)
Have I missed any clubs? It feels very short to me and I'm surprised there isn't clubs for franchises like Lord of the Rings or that franchises like DC comics, Spider-Man and Power Rangers/Super Sentai do not have clubs despite how huge in number costumers/cosplayers are.
