Hi all,
New here and I got mine a couple of days ago. The problem I'm having is that this thing is just so gorgeous I'm not sure I can bring myself to cut into it! Perhaps after a stiff whiskey. Anyway, if I manage to make myself do it there's a fair chance it'll look something like this. Not the most drastic of remodels I know, but the Bison just kinda fell into the middle of the MG34 a treat and I fell for the simplicity of it. Love the stuff that's been posted already by the way...some real talent here! Anyway, looking forward to seeing more.

Cool design, i couldn't get myself to cut up the Bison either. I really like it as is so I just gave it a little bit of a boost.

What's that you say? Up-gun a Bison? Well that's easy, you just add an ionization chamber between the pressure accumulator and flux dispersion core:

Of course the barrel needs to be strenghtend to survive the power increase... and the cooling fin needs to go on the opposite side so the grip has to be repositioned... plus the heterodyne coils will need to be lengthened and replaced... perhaps a forward grip to reduce accidental operator combustion... of course with the power increase the recoil will be more significant so a shoulder stock might be needed...


This may take longer than I thought.

Looking great jackdoud. These WIP's from you guys always get my blood pumping.

So watching this thread the last couple of days I started finally working on variant parts for the Wisent. She's got plug and kill capability so why not use it right?

New Dragonslayer powerbulb and roughed together Bull Barrel. Named the Dragonslayer for obvious reasons, real cleaved Fluorite octahedron, also put together ship-in-a-bottle style like the last one.

Well, my bison arrived, but looking at my schedule for the next couple of months, I really don't think I'll have time to complete it. So, I've thrown together the parts I had collected and slapped them together in photoshop to show you the direction I was planning on going with this:

catch this. got my email from RPF mentioning the extra Bison's available for sale due to cancellations. Clicked the link. Apparently, shipping from the UK warehouse is $132. Oh well, it was a nice thought until it threatened to clean out my bank account...<sigh>

Humph - you would think our little ANZAC buddies across the way would make it as far as Australia to show off their Weta wares at a local event.

It must be the exchange rate keeping them at bay.

That, and the submarine nets we left up.

Meanwhile - I am slowly modifying Bison bits.

All holes filled, heavy trigger guard removed from grip and grip holes filled, new glassware now incorporating old Bison bits ready to be fixed to the top fin, and 'trap door' frame gluing in position.

Still need to go pick up the clear fish tank tubing, and then start building the engine.

Might even get some paint on in the next week or so...

I'm a bit concerned... I already have my bison but I just got another shipping confirmation email from a courier company dated today.

I can't afford another bison, as fun as a double-barrelled version would be!

I'm taking a little different approach to my build, which I'll share soon. My gun is supposed to arrive tomorrow, but I've been working for a couple of days on parts. Lots of parts. When it's finished, I think my version may weigh a couple hundred pounds.
