Interest Veracity Labs - THE V2 FX Build (DIY Kit)

TXQ is finishing out the MoM- however won’t deliver until the helper boards can be finished and included (after chasing down issues there) (edit to clarify* the issues are chased down and the boards were re-ordered prior to Chinese new year, but they are on hold due to said new year closures)

Seeing the machining on the *final* product of the Hero is very confidence building for ordering a full lineup of V2. We are happy and confident to move forward. That said-

It is currently the Chinese New Year celebration, once they come back and pending the delivery of the complete MoM and closing out the order we should be able to see much more swift progress on the V2.

Excuse me but what's swift progress? What timeline are we looking at? I thought after the second prototype was done things would be speed up. Now you are mentioning ordering a full lineup of V2s? Did TXQ even start the production of the batch yet?

No reply? Nothing? Again as above: Excuse me but what's swift progress? What timeline are we looking at? I thought after the second prototype was done things would be speed up. Now you are mentioning ordering a full lineup of V2s? Did TXQ even start the production of the batch yet?

“ once they come back and pending the delivery of the complete MoM and closing out the order”

V2 machining has not yet commenced because the production manager, Lewis- has not closed out the MoM yet. Very sorry for the delays but it doesn’t benefit anyone to overload with the preparations of two complex / simultaneous runs in the moment.

TXQ machining is quite swift once they get going- and we are learning as we go with them. So far the MoM is going well (not without challenges) and the V2 is next.

To recap.
The run is paid for (second time over)
The Sample was recieved and reviewed
Feedback was provided for corrections, we are still confirming those changes on the production end.

When machining begins officially you can be sure of an official announcement which will clear everything up.

As it currently stands as Bryan mentioned. There was outstanding feedback on the last prototype which was provided. We are told we should have some guidance come Wednesday as to whether an additional prototype incorporating the feedback will be done or whether production will commence. I am pushing for the former as I want a fully clean and signed off prototype of the final product to be machined.

The prior prototype was good, but I had 4 main areas of concern that I cited on review of it.

It is likely given the delays that we won't set a final production and shipping estimate until full production has commenced.

Update for everyone here.

So we spoke with Xie, and they've determined another prototype is not necessary. They are confident that the feedback I provided is noted and they can incorporate it without worry.

They also indicated that production will be nearly as fast as another prototype generation cycle and as such are opting to move into production post their upcoming holiday from Apr 4-6. So production will likely begin on or around April 7. We will provide updated guidance as to project completion as we get a sense of how long production will take for the hilts as well as the other elements being included in the kits (clamp cards, stencils, clamps, etc).

We should soon have production photographs as things are getting completed to share.

Thanks for the update Adam! That's great news! :D

The V2 run is firing on all cylinders! Here's the update we made yesterday on the FB page:

"Hey all!

And just like that, May is gone! We've been absolutely stacked out - we are super proud with how things are developing, and we are very grateful to everyone that turned out and supported us! As with anything new, there's always some fine tuning to do, so we are investing in the right areas - most importantly, orders are flying out the door 2 to 3 times a week!

So now we're coming to the end of the MoM run, we can now move on to the V2! TXQ have started machining the V2, and Xie has informed us the process will take approximately 45 days. This would mean they *should* arrive the middle of July, or just after. Obviously TXQ will have a better idea as things progress. One FAQ is about deposits or orders that were originally placed with 7C - we're fully honouring those, so when we have the hilts, we will issue a balance invoice for any remaining payments. Any folks that paid in full will receive their V2 as normal. We will have 50 spare kits, should anybody wish to pick one up once they're here.

Now there's a lot to the V2 kits - probably one of the biggest joint efforts we have seen in the community for a long time. So what's included, and who is confirmed so far?

Trooper Trent is making Veracity Labs V2 stencil kits - he's extremely well known for the accuracy of his paint stencils for various V2 hilts. We've just got a couple of dimensions to confirm with Trent once Xie is able to get them for us.

Roman Props is providing satin Graflex Clamps - this was highly requested, so we have reached out to Roman and made it happen!

Talks are ongoing with Brad Lewis (Slothfurnace) to accurately weather and solder our V2 clamp cards. He's a master craftsman when it comes to reproducing that real vintage look! We're hoping to have the details locked in with him soon.

There's a couple more parties to confirm details with, so we'll have updates on that front very soon.

On another note some of you may have noticed we've started stocking our little spare parts section on our store... we didn't even get a chance to officially announce it, because the turnout has been crazy! Thank you all so much! We're adding more spare parts to the store later this weekend. Lots of third party parts and stuff that has been sitting in storage, so keep your eyes peeled!

So with all that being said - thank you guys for your patience and continuous support!"

Hey all.

Some brilliant news from TXQ - the main machining and polishing is finished!

There are some confirmations/adjustments we're waiting on regarding the pommels; this is the mill mark. It's an integral and nuanced feature that sets our V2 apart from many others - and it is one we take great pride in. More importantly, we want these to be absolutely perfect for when they are in your hands.

In the event we're not happy with how the mark came out, we will have those remade. Timing won't be so much of an issue, as we're currently awaiting the box production, along with some of the third party parts that will be provided. We're not far from the finishing line now, and we can't thank you guys enough for your patience! We'll be back very soon with another update!

Awesome news!

A quick question - is there a way for individuals (like myself) who missed the original sign up to take the place of those who dropped out and were refunded? I have no issues with paying to take their spot - I figure if it's possible it'd be more safe than trying to scramble to grab one of the 50 spare kits.

You are more than welcome to take my spot. I have been trying to cancel and have my order refunded for many months now but nothing much seems to be going on with communication. Perhaps if Lewis sees this it can be arranged.

I was wondering if Adam Wells still doing the weathering for this run ? Its been 3 years so I was wondering if my weathering option in my pre-order is still working ?

Thanks :)
