essentially the body suit is sculpted from regular cushion foam i got from fabric-land here in Canada spray glued to a lycra suit . i build up foam in laminated layers 1-2 inch foam then sculpt back details.
the mask is sculpted in clay and cast in smooth-on flexfoam III then all painted with latex tinted with latex tint and paint. both carnage and this venom will be built the same.

the latex is from monster maker . yes its expensive i paid over 200 Canadian for 5 gallon (50.00 for gallon) pail but the stuff is great and indispensable. its cheaper to buy bulk than little containers at party store thats no where near quality. i buy from sculptural supply canada , great place for all costuming needs.
both venom and carnage i tinted latex with acylic paint, and latex tint(great stuff and concentrated for 10.00 / 4oz. ) makes tough skin that wont peel. i brushed the main colors and detail but ill airbrush acrylics last for fine detail. did that with hulk and worked out great . the hulk is a few years old but the paint is still going strong. but i strongly advice you use latex till you get to that point(last highlights etc) you can airbrush latex but i havent tried it yet for fear of jamming up my gear but there is a way.

here is a piece of hulk that t brushed three shades of green (rule of 3,lol) the airbrushed detail. my pics suck but you get the idea

been a while got sidetracked with carnage symbiote mask, but thats done now and im 75 % done body suit sculpt for venom

ill have vids soon of motion test and the suit assembled before skin and paint.

well here he is at 90%
added some more bulk around neck shoulders and arms. still have final sculpt for detail and smooth out areas as well as finish feet ...skin on tomorrow...done by friday...i hope..lol

On a personal note, I love the mask! I don't care for the tounge hanging out so much. On the build, WOW! That is one costume I would love to get a pic with in my Spidey suit. Just Amazing. If floors me how much talent you have for this. The definition for AWESOME is, anything that leaves you in awe and wonder. Sir this is "AWESOME!".....

thanks man appreciate it. im really enjoying it and venom is a favorite character of mine so i was glad to be commissioned for it . the client is letting me do my thing ...so
i would love to see yous guys in the same pic. im trying to make him as mobile as possible in a latex foam suit. my venom's new host is taking him on to comic cons and the first is in Calgary expo . the guy who bought my carnage( here: http://www.therpf.com/f78/carnage-costume-wip-muscle-suit-pics-vids-199293/ ) are pals and will be there together. i wish i could be there for that its at the end of april.
venom is huge ill post scale pic and video soon.

yes , the claws are higher density foam, the head is cast in soft but stretchy flexfoam III from smooth-on. the body is all same foam ..smae stuff use in apolostry , 1 inch and 2 inch sheets.

thanks alot Im a huge venom fan as well and hoping i get this right
just finishing up last of it now will have skin and paint on very soon. I see your from Calgary .both Venom and the Carnage suit ( http://www.therpf.com/f78/carnage-costume-wip-muscle-suit-pics-vids-199293/ ) will be in Calgary at end of April for the big comic expo .

I'll be there, but only on the Sunday unfortunately. I tried to get the gang coordinated an buy tickets for the whole weekend, but it's like herding cats at times. I was really hoping to have a cool Dum Dum Dugan together for the show, but I may just go as Ash again since Bruce Campbell will be there.

My big build for the movie will be Star Lord and that will most certainly not be ready in 20 days. I sure hope I get to see these on the Sunday though, they are incredible. Again... Great work.

your starlord is coming along great, best not to rush it. your ash looks awesome . i wish i could be there but im in ontario and too busy right now. the clients who commissioned the venom and carnage will be but im not sure what days they have in mind . looks like a good lineup for guests celebs. id love to meet bruce cambell...lol .
keep up the goodwork on starlord so looking forward to that flick
