Vader ROTJ lightsaber

I see that you have constructed a new light saber, very impressive. Sorry, I'v been wanting to use that line for a very long time:lol

All kidding aside, maybee you should think about making a run of these? I would be on the list for sure:thumbsup

If someone knows of a source to get more Graflex type tubes I can convert them and make a run for you all. I only have 2 left.

Awesome saber man. I always thought that this saber was the perfect one for vader. It looks cold and mechanical.

Was this saber easier in your opinion than your other fine peices?

Easier in the fact that I don't have to turn it on a lathe. More complicated in constructing all the individual parts and fitting them togehter, not to mention the 7 holes. Still takes about the same amount of time, except if I make a number of parts at one time.

do you only make starwars stuff?? you prolly could do some small runs for the board of misc stuff to help fund your hobby. I always look forward to your posts. keep up the fine work. :)

All I have time for is Star Wars lightsabers. Thanks for the compliment!

There is allways a bunch of Graflex flash handels on the bay for sale. Or would some chrome sink tubing be better?

Sink tubes really don't work, I've tried. The Graflex tubes on Ebay are usually pretty expensive because they are not just selling the tubes, but I get lucky sometimes though.

I allmost hate to ask, but what are your thoughts on converting an MR-FX Luke saber into a Vader?

There is this seller offering a kit to make a ROTJ saber but I don't know about that price they are aking:eek

Was thinking that the bolts may intrude into the body a little far for say if one wanted to convert it to a Lexan or even an EL.

The problem with converting a Luke FX is that with the new parts it would not work with the electronics, especially on how to turn it on, but I have never tried. Plus you would have to exchange the blue blade for a red one.

I have bought tubes and parts from the guy on Ebay. His kit is good except some of the parts are resin and the ball catch and port plug isn't totally accurate, but he's a great guy.

The kit from the Graflex Shop has a Graflex converter that the screws can screw into.

Many good points. I understand about I would have to exchange the blue blade for a red one. And the the clamp would have to be changed out compleatly. So maybe a FX would not be the best canidate.

The Graflex Shop has many nice items that I may have to think more about. And that fella on the bay, if you say he is a nice guy I will contact him soon. There is just so many flakes on there that it is hard to know who to trust and who not to.

Good work man, you've obviously done your homework. Keep it up!

I've always been curious about building this saber. ;)

Just a quick compliment...PastorJedi has been extremely helpful and prompt in his emails ect to me. A most notable and trustworthy vendor/artiste. Well done mate!

Warm Regards
Christian

Nice job! Did you machine the metal parts for it yourself or were they some of Ken's?

All the machined parts on this saber are made by me, not Kenny. To give him credit though, I did use his parts and pictures from the original and MR version as guides for mine. I did my own thing from there. Each of my parts are not identical to his.

That's a great looking piece! I'm building one myself and can only hope it looks half as good!

I second the motion about you maybe doing small runs of kits... I would LOVE all machined parts for this saber!

Excellent job.

I don't know how to do runs and what that would require, or if anyone would even be interested. Thanks.
