USS Bozeman

Morgan_Bateson.jpg

You know, I once attended a delightful focus session in a seminar at Yale that discussed the use of color in therapy sessions. Black, you see, is the color of austerity and reflection, the search for inner strength and the cycle of change. By painting the Bozeman black, I seek to help the Orions contemplate the consequences of their excessive animus...over a warm snifter of Palo Cortado, of course.

Oh, command a Starship and always be correct, is that it?
Black is this and that.
Sometimes black is just black, and replicated food is just rearranged atoms.
And big brothers are just bellicose.
Niles out.

I have some bad news, I'm the person who mastered this kit. For some reason the torrent sensor on the bottom wasn't included. Tracy at federation models and I are trying to correct this. I'm going to look through my boxes this weekend to see if I still have it. Your kit looks great so far. Once we have the parts cast, we will be sending the parts out to complete your kit. Here are some pics of my masters. Took 7 years to get this kit to cast.

I wondered about that. I don't know just looked like it needed something there.

I would like to have the parts as well as I just bought one of these kits!!!

Will Decker- "THIS is how I define customer service!"

Wow, thanks for tracking Kenny & me down to tell us that!:lol

Sorry. The design. I like the added length you get with the extensions added to the stern.
Yes, it is quite a nice design. I always felt this class of ship was a tad short, but the Bozeman has become my favourite version because of what you're talking about.:cool

It's in the diagram sheet. I just assumed it was in the mess of guns I wasn't using yet. I didn't do a gun-by-sensor check when I got it. Too busy attacking the flash, I guess.:lol

Okay, I'm getting obsessive here, but more ultra light sanding is in order around the anterior central primary hull area. While awaiting the torrent sensor, I can thankfully take my time.:lol
Just a minor update.

Take your time. One day, I want to tell visitors to my home that this is an *authentic* "chrisisall" and have people say, "Ooooooo!" and not, "What? That piece of ****?" :lol

I just want to know why they need a sensor to detect people downloading pirated movies in the 23rd century? Shouldn't we be past that by this time?

Glad to see someone building this kit, as well as the interest and "conversion" of folks that appreciate this class. I'm the guy who mastered this coversion kit. I'm surprised that you had some issues with fit. My masters literaly snaped into the styreen kit and needed little filling. Hope some of the molds aren't loosing their shape.

Here's a look at some shots of the masters being made....

As you can see in the masters, I altered some Enterprise nacels using the outter halves due to both sides on this class illuminate. I also made inner halves to accomodate the Reliant/Saratoga/Brittain versions as well. The ERTL nacels with the kit stink. The entire flux chiller "thumbnail" detail is moved aft about 3/8" as well. I'm surprised he hasn't released them yet. I sent those in with the masters.

The test build....

I'm still in the process of finishing this for FedMod for his box art. As and airline pilot, my days at home are numbered. Glad to see a few are beating me to the puch. Enjoy the kit folks. I sure enjoyed making it for ya.

Tracy

We have two folks here saying they are the one that mastered the kit. Are they the same person? Did more then one person master this kit? Do we have two accounts for the same person? Im confused. The build is coming along fantastic BTW
