Thanks to everyone for all their research on this - my husband wants to make one of these Drake diaries (we both love the game) and everything here has been really helpful.

Darth Saber - you've done such an amazing job! I'd love to see pics of how the outside of the journal turned out after you painted it. Did you use the hardcover 8x5 Moleskine book?

I haven't colored this journal yet...I've only colored the "Drakes Fortune" diary. I need to pick up some blue acrylic.

Ill post pics when im done though.

Wauw!! Looks really good!! All hand drawn? Perfect dude!!

Ive been an old technique to make sure the art is accurate.
I size up the screencaps of the pages in Photoshop to the right aspect ration.

THen I print it out.
Then, on the back of the printout , I fill in the entire area using a soft lead pencil.

I then flip the page over again and tape it to the page on the journal. I then trace over the artwork printed on the page....When i remove the prinout from the journal page I end up with a transfer of the lead graphite onto the journal page.

I can then just trace over it with ink or pencil or whatever.

That said though, with yours adjusted for aspect (which mine were not) yours already looks better than mine. :lol I'll just have to do another :love

If I cant find flowers that resemble the one sin the book I might make them out of colored arts and craft tissue paper and wires.

Is it real or is it Darth Saber's. I always have to look twice to tell if the pic is of the journal from the game or Darth Saber's.

I used sepia colored ink with a brush, and sometimes sepia colored markers (micron)
