Uk Predators

yes symbols on it ,but have it unique to the uk clan,with maybe a background of the hunters lair on it!!!

Yeah, think we would have to include the patented 'The Hunters Lair' logo in the design or one side of the design e.g. powered by the Hunters Lair or something like that. Time to get some ideas up about the clan symbol. Research time people and go wild. Feel free to post pictures up and then we can decide as a group on the final design.

Might be an idea to start a thread in ART forum. Get the "pro's" on the case. How does everyone feel about symbols for armor, using something simple. 1 for northern preds, 1 for southerners? Not trying to instigate a divide but nothing wrong with being proud.

Having just had a very quick look, using the Members section and applying filters based on location you get the following results:

70 - England
13 - Wales (including myself)
32 - Scotland
2 - Northern Ireland

Now this by no means is a definitive list as some people have different locations and obviously some people may not be active anymore but that puts a rough number at 117.

If you filter by UK then you get 185.

No idea how to PM everyone on that list though!

Indeed you did, I used to be an events organiser so cat-herding (or is it pred-herding?) this lot won't be a challenge considering I've helped organise things that are almost as big as an Expo xD

What I will do is as soon as I get the dates for the bigger cons next year I'll post them up in here, and if people can let me know of any smaller conventions I've missed then we can add them to the list.

So far the big conventions I can think of are London Expo x 2, London Film & Comic Con, Memorabilia and Collectormania. What have I missed, lol?

As for social meets I think we need co-ordinators around the country for these as it's not practical money or time-wise for us to all get to London or Manchester just to go drinking and shopping. I can help with organising the southerners and I think Raven said something about helping organise the social meets as well. So northerners, westerners and far-flung cornerers, y'all need to sort your social lives out!

Its all on you lol I was looking the MCM london expo and it said that it will be (or should be running on the 25th, 26th and 27th May next year, but don't hold me to it as for the other expo's I have no idea lol.

Good idea, or we could just post the pictures in here so as to not make too many threads in separate places as they threads will probably just be merged by the mods anyway. I think that the 'clan' symbol should be one symbol only for the UK, otherwise we are segeraggting the North from the South which would technically be two UK clans.

this is just fantastic!! everytime i go on this thread more uk preds appear.i didnt know there were so many preds out there!!lol
All we need now is a big gathering and that day will come,just imagine 10,20,30,40,50.....150 preds in one place ,now that would be something to be proud of!!
as for the comment on the banner i agree with the hunter hunted about a all in one maybe symbol for north and south,im up for anything and would definatly contribute monies for the banner,maybe get a fund collection or something for it!.one idea i was thinking of having it similar to the usa one being they started the whole thing and would be a recongtion to them,if you get my meaning!! well its just a start...............

I think one design for the whole UK would be better than a north-south divide, not like we have different heads or anything, just different accents

Plus what about those of us that are from the South but live in the North, or vice-versa? I spent six years of my life in Yorkshire but am a Surrey girl born and bred, so... yeah. Was I a northerner when I lived up there? I don't think so, you can take the girl out of Surrey but you can't take Surrey out of the girl!

One symbol to rule us all, I say! It's more unifying.

Greetings to all the UK pride of Predators... I am Movieman..... and I am based in the west Midlands.... I am in the process in the building of a Predator suit... i also unload the pepakura files in the armour making section in this maighty forum.... I also have many other items that I am working on from the world of AvP.

I just got back from the Memrobilia event at the NEC Birmingham, where I bumped into a fellow member of this forum dressed as a Vampire gent.... a full silicone head piece who informed me of this UK get together.

Its was great to meet you.... wish I had seen you in your Predator suit....it's a beaut. You look cool at the gentleman vampire about town. I agree there were plenty of both human and alien life forms at the NEC that need hunting down....I even have an old stormtrooper helmet that I can dirty down with dry blood and set on a stake as a hunted victim.... I am sure that will stir up a few troopers.............. I'm sure a large clan of predators will shake the place.
