Correct me if I'm on the wrong end of the stick here, but I thought we were just going for some little badge or something to promote UK unity, something each member would stick somewhere on his/her armour, not a socking great banner that we have to drag around, where'd that come from? Did I miss something?
Just askin'... cuz I think it's a bit daft if we have to drag that thing to conventions, whereas if we see a Pred with a little badge we'd be like 'ohai fellow Lair resident' and stuff. Which I thought was the idea we were going for? I dunno. Someone explain where this banner idea rose from?

The banner idea is because since WAAAAAAAAAAAAY before you were a member here, WE as a comunity represent the lair by showing of the forum that spawned our suits. And there has been talk of a UK banner for MANY years.

think the banner`s come about by way of representing the lair, at major conventions. I think. That`s not to say we cant do the armour symbol. i wouldn`t want to, nor be allowed, to walk around suited up with the hunters lair pasted across my armour. But the clan symbol, o yes. Besides, the public can only read english whereas, i`m assuming here, the clan symbol will be something suitably pred?

I could equally say, how did you miss the banner talk? There were links to the ones that the guys in the US have used for the last couple of years a couple of pages back.
For me, it needs to be something large. Something that people can gather around, and for people without suits, an obvious sign that we are a group, who they can ask questions of. I don't see how a small badge, identifying us to each other is going to help attract people here. And besides, if someone is wearing a pred suit, probably a safe bet they might have heard of the lair in any case.
I can't help with a banner (can't print on vinyl), but I do have access to a 44" printer for posters, or any other stuff that might be of use to promoting the lair.

I'm sure there's bound to be some closer to you, Hez, these are just the ones I got through on my email today. There's quite a few others but I know nothing about them because they're either nowhere near London or I'm not on the mailing list. The only date I have left to add to this is London Film & Comic Con.
Maybe we should split the list so people can add dates to it as and when they find out about them - South, Midlands, North? How about that? And keep searching, guys, sometimes smaller conventions don't advertise themselves as publicly as the big ones. The con dates for next year have only just started to be announced so I expect the list to grow.

may be start a whos going to that troop thread a few weeks prior to the show! as febuary is the first one !!start there!!,but many thanks for the dates can now work with these!
