Ugly Betty star Murders Mom with Samurai Sword!?!?!?

When I saw the title I was expecting it to be Ugly Betty herself. Anyhow, don't know who this guy is, but hope the authorities get to the bottom of it. Sounds like this young man has serious mental issues. Hope he gets help. Sad.

Wish there wasn't such a stigma that makes people hide their issues instead of getting help. I knew it kept me from getting help and now i'm dealing with issues that coulda been fixed years ago.

Mic: you're right. I'm sure there is one someplace but they're rare.

Funny how you never see an an atheist arrested for murder screaming atheist rhetoric.
Actually, Nietzsche has inspired quite a few murderers with his Übermensch philosophies. While not necessarily *atheist* per se, it's a very existential philosophy, one that led Nietzsche to declare that "God is dead."

Anyways, sad to hear about a decaptitation and stabbing of someone's own mother. That's hard news to take right before thanksgiving.

Well... in fairness, it looks like they are taking a few liberties with the story in an effort to amp up the sensationalism.

"he's just saying a bunch of [Bible] passages like, 'Repent, Repent, Repent,'" neighbor Gregory Clare told local television"

I love how this is worded and how "Bible" was inserted... not to mention the clear ignorance of the person being quoted... surprised they didn't add in "Austin 3:16." Not saying he wasn't quoting scripture as I wasn't there, but I just love the spin on this... because hacking your mom's head off with a sword just isn't quite dramatic enough!

****, if you're gonna scream lines while you kill, at least quote cool stuff; something, like, "[But] don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever."

And not exactly a star either. Not even a page on imdb as far as I can tell...

That's like the time a "former Power Rangers star" murdered a husband and wife on their boat. The guy had a background role once or twice to the best of my memory. But "Person who once barely appeared on a show in a role without a name, and only in the background for under 5 seconds murders couple" doesn't really have a ring to it.
