Turning a Denix C-96 Mauser into a Screen Accurate DL-44, in need of reference pictures and parts.

Greetings friends from all over the Galaxy.

With Covid still pounding on the doors, I've gotten, despite my part time job, a bit bored in my free time, and have the urge to craft something.
Now I got this C-96 pistol laying about from when I did WWI German reenactment, a hobby I no longer practice. I was thinking of converting it into either Han's DL-44 heavy blaster which was used for the posters and photos, or Luke's DL-44 Bespin Blaster.

Now, I'd like to be as screen accurate as possible, so I'm wondering if you guys, gals and anything inbetweens happen to know where I can get the best reference pictures for these blasters.
Also I want them to have the accurate weight and balance, so if anyone could point me into a direction for metal parts, that'd be neat!
