If you want screen accurate, they used POWO as seen here and it does look pink. If you wear any costumes with the lights off, you'll want the WOWO. Blackfeathers used WOWO in his gauntlets. As for flickering, any interruption of the power source can do that. Just wire in something that strobes the output of the power to the inverter.

Thanks twinight, I guess my question now is whether the WOWO light differs significantly from the POWO white, as contrary to what the E-Luminates salesperson said the pink off sheets do look pure white, almost bluish in photos, whereas the white off ones are supposed to be an even cooler white.

Question for Compass (or anyone who's bought from E-luminates):

I'm looking at buying EL sheet from the E-luminates but I'm not sure which type of white EL to use - WOWO or POWO? The salesman I contacted says that the WOWO is about 20% dimmer and gives off a cool white light whereas the POWO has a slight pinkish tinge to the light. TL seemed to have used a version of POWO and your suit also looks like you've used it. From your photos it looks like pure white/slightly bluish. Have you noticed a pinkish tinge in yours?

As of right now, I am probably going to patiently wait for Soulinertia to finish his disc mod run and then hopefully offer up some hex fabric for purchase. However, if anyone is looking or desperate for something now... I just found that Mcdavid makes something called Hexpad for goalies and soccer players:

Thought I would post it here since, aside from this I have found absolutely nothing that is even close to an acceptable hexagon pattern and have been looking for quite a while.

Also, COMPASS72... What all did you use to light your costume? El Sheets/tape/and wire or just sheets and diffused wire?

Thanks compass, have you had the chance to compare the difference between their POWO and WOWO whites? It's obvious from your photos that the light is a cool white, leaning towards blue. Is this just the effect from photographs or does it really not look pinkish white in real life?

Wow, even Ozzy has a Tron suit. I'm a Metal guy so this does nothing but reassure me that I'm on the right track with Tron stuff, haha! Maybe this Ozzy and Bieber thing will be some awesome commercial where they have knockoff looking disc battles or something. This is still very surprising, but I think it's just more proof that everyone's really interested in light up Tron type outfits. So much so that they will use millions of dollars to hire big name musicians and make Super Bowl commercials based off of it. That's pretty cool.

I think I found a starting point for the disc mount; Ready? Paper dixie bowl.:rolleyes I will probably add a few other items and cut and expand it slightly, but it is almost an exact fit. Here are a few shots of it.

Me too Tim, however my first priority is getting as close a match as I can get to the color used in the movie. I've slowly pored through all 90+ pages but I don't remember seeing anyone use the WOWO version

Another question, does anyone know where I could find or how to make an EL driver that flickers? I've noticed sometimes the lightsuits don't have a solid glow but flicker almost like an old fluorescent light.

Hmm, I obviously was not paying attention to Quorra's costume when not lit, I guess I'd live with the pink to have it more accurate. :lol

In other news, I hit up 5 Targets on the way home from work today and managed to find a Rinzler disc at the last one. I'm still keeping my eyes open for the Kevin one, but I'm not holding my breath. Now to get a yellow LED strip and see how well it overpowers the orangeness of the center ring or if I'll have to order replacements.
