Like the title says i 'm looking for a tutorial to make my own Jedi communicator. I already have the womans Gillette razor(I have to keep it hidden though because my wifes looking for it). What other parts do i need?

Once i have it done i can display and she won't even notice :love ..............maybe :confused

Anyways please help.

I got the razor, the solder lugs listed on the site and the matrix pins that it lists, gonna start putting it together and get the rest as soon as I can figure out what the top section is that they speak into. wish there were some more photos of where someone wasnt holding it for a better look.

I got a box full of parts to build the comlink in the garage, I have the correct brass tri-screws as well I'll dig and let you know.

Can you tell us where you found these parts?

Thanks

the majority are aircraft parts I worked in the parts department and kinda helped myself.

Do you have any correct size tri screws? I think they're #3's.
A board member sent me some tri screws a few years ago, but the smallest he sent were #4's.

Didn't someone decide that that the correct solder lugs were probably custom made? I got some that someone offered way back when TPM was released and they are too big. I'm just missing the little antenna things.

I have various sizes of tri-screws in both metal and brass, I forget how to tell the sizes, I'm not sure if there is a stamped number on them or not but I'll get the box out tomorrow and go through and see what I have left.
As for the antenna they are brass cannon plug connectors I have about 200 of them left.

I'm sure the lugs weren't custom made, nothing that small would be on these props.
They were likely little bits received in piles of aircraft junk.

Screw sizes are marked on the heads with the number within a circle.

alright screw it (LOL) :lol I'm going out to the garage, its midnight and cold, but now i'm curious as to what I have left, let you know in a few

OK, just checked I have tri-screws in sizes 3 to 8, the only size 3 are in steel, no brass, the only brass I have are in 4 through 6, I probably gave you the size 4 years ago I remember offering them free but I don't remember what board it was.

I can however get the size 3 in brass the company that supplied us is still local and I'll give them a call tomorrow and see how much they are.

the solder lugs I have 6 small ones left and only 3 larger ones, If people need these as well I can ask for those too.

I got the solder lugs from seastrom part # 5403, they are pretty close, I'm interested in the cannon plug and the part that sits on top of it.

Btw. Tri-wing screws are also found on the Nintendo Gameboy.. Anyone checked theirs to see if they are the correct size?

Ok called the place where I get the aircraft hardware, they don't have #3 tri-screws in stock but I placed an order for 100 I'll let you guys know when they arrive. I have plenty of the rivets for the "speaker" portion but I ran out of the retainers unless I can find another box with some hardward hidden away.

Well i'm gonna need everything to to complete mine. So any parts you can spare i'd appreciate it BIGTIME.
I have the razor and thats it. Can someone post a pic and point out what is what?? I have know idea what it all is.
Thanks Sector 7G for taking the time and checking through your stuff.

Well some bad news, my supplier can no longer get tri-wing screws so my order was cancelled, I'll try a couple of other sources but if anyone wants to settle for the #4 screw that I have let me know.
